^The three at the top of the list are the headline acts of Newcastle's Evolution festival this May. Two Door Cinema Club (and indeed, the majority of the remaining bill) I can kind of take or leave but the chance to see Iggy & The Stooges and The Kills was just too good to pass up.

I must admit, my expectations were fairly low for Sherlock, but to my surprise and delight, it was really rather magnificent. Pity Soo-Lin was only in one of the three episodes. Before that (although I never saw Project Catwalk), Gemma caught my eye in The IT Crowd, Doctor Who and even an ad for Bing.com before I realised that all the characters were played by the same person. Luckily, I get there in the end! That Bing advert in full...

New Arctic Monkeys anyone? A curious choice indeed for the lead track, given that it features drummer Matt Helders on lead vocals and songwriting duties. Not exactly hitting the mark for me so far, but I guess it could be a grower. Still, very much looking forward to the album. *Runs off to find Strokes stream*

I always thought Patrick Stewart as Xavier was one of the few pieces of casting they really, really nailed in the previous movies. So anyone trying to top or even equal him is on a bit of a hiding to nothing anyway.

So I guess Michael Fassbender's role as the master of magnetism won't be too much of a stretch for him.
  23. 7 P.S. Stillinwonderland, is there any chance I could sneak in a couple of nominations or is it too late?
