Another impressive line-up on this week's Jools show. Especially love the brass section on the opening Feist number. Especially for Mr. Pierre... And especially for Mr. Matt...

First off, I think he's still an absolute lock to go to the Euros. Two years ago, Fabio delayed naming his World Cup squad to accommodate a half-fit/crap (delete as appropriate) Gareth Barry, so I suspect he'll bend over backwards to make sure Rooney is selected. Besides, I can't imagine Capello seeing it as a wasted place - after all, it's a 22-man squad where there'll no doubt be at least two or three unused players anyway. A little berk told me that England will be unseeded in the draw for the group games (that is to say, I saw Peter Reid talking about it on Sky), which means a second place finish is a strong possibility. If that's the case, then we'll probably be faced with the prospect of an unfavourable second round game against superior opposition, and be unceremoniously dumped out of the tournament in Rooney's first appearance. For the actual red card, I blame Wayne's new hair. It made him do it. Kind of like in The Simpsons when Snake's hair possessed Homer.

  8. Europe: 3.5 An old favourite of mine but I've kinda lost interest in recent years. I'm not not a fan, but I no longer follow what she's up to or go out of my way to watch her movies like I used to.

^(Y) "The question is whether Capello should still take Rooney. Unquestionably, he should." - I flippin' love David Pleat.

  22. Marina Laswick managed to win 21 rounds so if a losing model was made available again after 20, identical matchups could be thrown up within a fairly short period of time. And I fear the comp would get kinda repetetive if, over a few months, Alessandra, Petra and Candice (to name three popular models at random) were nominated several times each. I find that discovering lesser known models here is part of the fun too and it'd be a great shame to see them excluded altogether. I think we could quite easily leave everything as it is now, and just remove models from the 'cannot be picked again' list as we go.
