As for the show, I finally took the time to go through all the models, outfits/segments in detail so ... WELCOME TO MY TED TALK CASTING: While I did like 42/60 models, this was still so so so crowded, I baffles me that good sis Georgia Fowler got just one outift, same for Duckie and Leomie. We did not need 60 models. I would take it back to 40-45 models and make sure the Angels get the three outfits and stand out so they don't get lost in the crowd. I do think as a whole they made better choices than previous years, especially with the newbies who were great for the most part, Lorena Rae was by far (and unsurprisingly) my favorite, followed by Yasmin I also loved Willow, Myrthe, Duckie, Sabaj, Alannah, Kelsey, Maia, Josie, Mayowa, Sofie and Cheyenne. The return of Toni, Shanina and Barbara was as good I thought it would be and I hope VS sticks them around, I think them + Leomie and Lorena have so much Angel potential! I liked the cast a lot but I would have cut 15-20 girls at least. Also please let's just make Grace an Angel already and have Willow as the Pink spokesperson. Kelly Gale looked amazing btw, seems like she read our comments and toned down her crazinnes the last weeks/days and went back to a healthy, beautiful look. Cindy Bruna, Barbara Fialho, Kendull, Estelle Chen, Lameka, Megan W and Gigi did nothing for me and need to go, I hate to say this about Gigi because I adore her but she just didn't do anything for me this year, and underwhelming return. ANGELS: I appreciate that so far VS seems to have kept the attention on the Angels this year, they all got the openings/closings and all the big moments from the show. Still, 11 is too much and I'd cut some girls and not add anyone. I'd keep a lineup of seven: Candice, Elsa, Jasmine, Taylor, Lais and add Grace and Lorena Rae to the lineup. I adore Romee, Martha and Stella but they have never really stood out for me, Bee looked gorgeous but she lost her spark to me. Sara and Josephine I simply don't like, for different reasons but I just don't like them so bye. Adriana got the goodbye we all wanted and more importantly, the farewell she deserved after 20 years, it's the end of an era for sure but I'm happy it was dealt with the right way. OUTFITS/SEGMENTS: I liked the fact that we had seven segments because I like a longer show. I'm still lost at the concept behind Glam Royale and Golden Girls? Maybe I'm stupid but IDK where they came from. Overall i think the outfits are the best ones we've had since 2014, and sure, there were some truly awful outfits in Downtown Angels and missmatched patterns in Glam Royale but still in both segments we had really strong ones and even Pink was good for the most part. The MK segment was awful, completely terrible and I wish I hadn't seen it, probably one of the worst segments in the show's history. But still, I liked most of them and Celestial Angels was so beautiful, one of my favorite segments they've done in recent years, so many good outfits. Flights of Fancy was also really good, so simple and beautiful. However my favorite segment was the Adriana segment lmao, I'll take a segment with her any day. Something I also liked was that there were less wings this year and I feel like that makes it more special, I'm more than fine with none of the newbies getting wings. PERFORMERS: This is a hard one, I hated all of them except Shawn and The Struts, so I would have kept them + Halsey for PR reasons, other than that what a mess it was. I feel like that awful perfomance really did 100% fuck up Taylor's opening because what a slow beat song, it also didn't fit the vibe of the segment at all. As many suggested, I would have done The Struts in GR and then maybe this Leela person in CA? IDK i think the song was terrible anyway. The Chainsmokers suck so yikes that. Bebe's song was appropiate for her, her voice, her singing and her career: A mess. The good thing is that everyone (except Shawn and Halsey) is so irrelevant that they shouldn't steal the girl's thunder. Overall I liked the show better than 2015-2017, I hope VS doesn't fuck up the editing but so far I'll give this show a 8/10. I'll give my second round of opinions after that. In the meantime, thanks for coming to my TED talk!

Lameka Fox Overall look: 2/10 - Every piece on its own? Beautiful. All the pieces out together in the same outfit that doesn't even match? Trash. Kendull Jenner Overall look: 7/10 -Again, ffs couldn't they match the fabric/pattern in a single outfit? o.o would have been a 10 if at least the skirt matched the bra or the cape

Damn sis, this sucks! We all loved and appreciated your account here. We all also thought the paparazzi was a fucking douchebag (and if you ever visit BZ please know most of us think you're trash for thinking you're allowed to invade Martha's privacy like that just because she's a lingerie model, asshole) after the whole picture deal. That being said, seems like a lot of fan accounts have been taken down for copyright thanks to paparazzi, heck, even Gigi got reported for it and she is the person in the picture and you're more than welcome to bring all your discussions and edits to BZ

It doesn't happen just with them tho. The amount of times Romee, Martha and Elsa have been wrongly ID-ed is ridiculous, this is just lazy and lame journalism o.o

I literally had no idea Alexina is married. I kinda respect her more now for doing such a good job keeping her personal life so private. I've always felt like all the extra attention can't be good for a relationship

It seems lie Adriana got her own segment which was just her, then Martha opened FoF with Halsey performing. On a different note, I would like to thank VS for introducing me to The Struts because I now love them I can't even remember the last time I discovered a song/performer through VS. I just wish it had been just them + Shawn Mendes and maybe Halsey. The rest just yikes.

I can see this 100% happening, probably not super soon but I wouldn't be suprised if it happens in a year or so, it feels like a natural thing to happen considering they are friends and Savage seems to be the type of gig Adriana likes

Love love both her outfits and I love even more that she was paired with the Angels. This is very Elsa in 2014 and I wouldn't be surprised if by February next year she's announced as an Angel. She's just perfect for them

I don't think Ed meant to say that Valentina wouldn't sell the fantasy, just that IF any trans model gets cast it won't like HEEY! LOOK LOOK! IT'S A TRANS MODEL! WE'RE INCLUSIVE. They are just gonna cast her because of the way she looks and then treat her like any model. Just look at Winnie, VS decided to cast her due to her popularity and her solid career but have they mentioned her vitiligo at all? Nope, they haven't. Did VS ever mention or made a big deal about being pretty much the first and still one of the few big commercial brands that allows models use their natural hair? i.e Maria Borges, Grace Bol? Nope, they haven't. The press made big deal out of it, but VS has never come out with some bullshit inclusivity statement and I think that's awesome, the biggest statement is actually putting those women on their runway and website. And I'm sure Valentina would much rather get cast because of the way she looks than just because she's trans, and lbr Valentna is most likely the only trans model with a career solid enough + the right look for VS Andreja Pejic is out there crying about the statement when the truth is VS would never work with her not because she's trans, but because she doesn't fit the brand in the slightest. As far as plus size models don't selling the fantasy, I'm sorry but that's 100% true. The vast majority of women does not dream to wake up in a 200lbs body or with Tess Taylor's body, the average women however would love to magically wakeup one day with Candice's body. That is the fantasy, that is what VS wants to sell and tbh that's what the majority of us want to see for just one fucking hour a year in our goddamn tvs. If i wanted to see average women half naked I'd go to the beach. These "body positivity" people are for the most part, full of shit, there's a huge difference between accepting and embracing your body and wanting the fantasy body. For example, I accept my own body, I am 152cm and my legs are super short, I accept that, I embrace it and I have no issues with it now, but if someone told me I could have Lais' legs you can damn bet I'd happily take it and the truth is most of women do, and those who say they wouldn't are just mostly lying to themselves. I wasn't a huge fan of Ed before and I do think his comments were maybe poorly phrased but I 100% agree with every word he said and more power to him and Monica tbh. I hope VS doesn't fall for this whole pc bullshit.

I think people took this the wrong way. I think what Ed meant to say is that he won't cast trans models JUST because they are trans and to join the PC bullshit. He'll cast them based on how they look and their work, just like any other model who attends castings. Valentina Sampaio was at castings this year, she simply didn't make the cut this year, doesn't mean she'll never get the show.

Jasmine commented on IG that the Adriana tribute is gonna make it to tv! Also based on some backstage videos and pictures, seems like before the show Adriana gave a speech and they had a toast, i hope we get to see that as well. This show will for sure not be the best one quality wise but if VS plays their cards right and they have the whole nostalgia arc, it could be a really good TV moment for the long-time fans. However 2019 will be kinda lame for me, Adriana is gone and Elsa will obviously not get the sparky titty holder so idk what I'm even gonna watch for lmao
