I think you are missing the biggest point tho, this particular issue was called "The diversity issue". How is putting a white woman dressed up as a geisha diverse? That's the problem. If it had been another issue then the backlash wouldn't be this bad, had this been a regular issue and I think people would've let it pass like they've done in the previous one thousand asian themed editorials magazines have ran before, the problem is Vogue advertising themselves as ZOMG WE ARE DIVERSE! LOOK LOOK! WE ARE INCLUSIVE!!! and then putting white woman to represent a culture she is not even remotely close to. Diversity my ass, this was bullshit from Vogue and everyone involded in it and honestly, Karlie is just an idiot for agreeing to it (as pointed out, she already had the whole Native costume experience). I expected more from her, she's one of the few models who didn't strike me as a dumbass but I guess I was wrong

Y'all need to cut Julian some slack he is just 30, so anything he did in his early to mid 20s is really just normal behaviour, the difference is that because he is an athlete people know (or claim to know) every little thing he's done. That video with Jules is so adorable, the way he blushes and he did say very nice things and changed the subject ASAP. So points for my man on that. And indeed the Valentine's Day video is cute, I love and respect how Adriana and Marko handle things, you can see that even though they are not a couple they still have love for each other and are good friends, that's how it should be

My only wish for 2018 is that MJ gets fired, otherwise I do not give a flying fuck about this magazine, it's been going downhill for a while in every possible way: choice of models, photographers, styling, horrible swimsuits, political correctness, etc. I barely did anything for 2017 and now I'm even less interested so Imma just sit out for the most part and come back in February to spoil shit for MJ because it's fun.

Cover/Kate Upton - I like Kate so yay that she's back, and I'm fine with her getting three different covers, IMO it's way waaay better than the Christie + Serena rumor we heard. And she looks stunning, the one where she holds the jacket may be her best cover ever tbh. You do have to wonder how utterly shitty her career is these days that she agreed to come back to SI. I'm still glad she's back tho, she has always been SI gold and she looks way better modelling than "acting". Not her best year but also not her worst, she has some very good pictures but also some very meh. Hannah F - Yu Tsai needs to be stopped, this is Hannah's worst year. I like maybe five pictures, the rest are trash. Bianca - Brings so much class to the magazine, and she's just a good model, she knows what works for her and her posing is just so good. However the boobs are too weird Bo - NOPE. I won't go into bashing territory, y'all know how much I dislike her. Great body but still cannot be saved. Lais - She is love, she is life, she belongs in SI and it will be 100% bullshit if she doesn't win ROTY. I love every single picture and she has the best body I've ever seen. #Lais2018 Samantha - NOPE NOPE NOPE. Again, I won't go to bashing territory. Just yikes Kelly - Lovely woman, lovely body. She has some really good pictures but some others are odd, probably because I'm not a huge fan of they styled her. Still, lovely shoot and she didn't let me down. Myla - I actually like her, a lot, she's just so fresh and has a good body (except for the way too saggy boobs but that's gravity yo). I hope she comes back, I like her face a lot and her smile is beautiful. I approve Rose - I love it, probably my favorite year of her, so happy she was taken away from Yu Tsai! I adore everything about her shoot. She's probably one of my favorite women this year Ashley - NOPE NOPE NOPE. Will not say anything else Mia - She will forever be ranked as one of the worst SI models for me. Right up there with Kenza Barbara - The real MVP! Every picture is beautiful, her body never looked better and this shoot is just perfect. There's so many pictures that I love. And honestly her face is perfection, it all works out just perfectly in this shoot. Chrissy - I love her personality and body but her face is still very hit or miss with me. She did however get some of the ugliest swimsuits I've seen which doesn't help much Vita - My second favorite roookie, I like her a lot but why so many pictures with the braids? The ones with her hair down are flawless tho. And her smile is just beautiful. She gives me 70's vibes and that's a good thing Hailey - I love her Finland shoot, the beach shoot is good but a bit boring because she's been doing the same locations since her first year so her Finland pictures are better IMO. I do think her body looked better last year tho, but she's still great Nina - I love her so she can't do wrong in my eyes. She has a perfect body, I love her smile and the vibes she gives. However, i strongly hate how she was styled for the most part and goddaamn it she better get a different photographer next year. I dislike Ruven almost as much as I dislike Yu, he just doesn't do her justice. She does have some pictures that I love, but this is for sure not my favorite year of hers. McKenna - I LOVE her, i adore her but the makeup did nothing for her. Still happy she's in this tho, I adore her. Anne - New girl crush. She's flawless and I like every single picture. My bodypaint MVP Lisa Marie - NOPE. Hunter - NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE. I repeat: NOPE. Endless yikes Still waiting for Kate B, Danielle, Hannah J and Robyn tho show up. Overall: Less photoshop and more nipples. God bless that.

I'm more interested in knowing if the bodypaint is a model search than on the cover tbh. It would be odd with just four women and in body paint but there is no other explanation as to why they were not included as rookies
