I think I'm on the record in saying that I didn't really like any of Kate's covers so far, but they are still not even close to the worst covers of the past decade.

It does seem a bit odd to dismiss the entire magazine on the basis of who gets to be on the cover.

That's a bit extreme. I'm sure there have been many covers in the past you weren't too fond of, so what would be different about Kate getting it again?

Not wanting to make this about Jessice vs. Catrinel, but it's still a travesty she never did SI. She had the perfect body for it, she wanted to do it and they gave opportunities to models who were far less deserving (from my perspective).
