Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
Wait, a thumbnail can't be larger than 600 px? Well, in my defense, the screencaps I've posted are all reduced from their original 1280x720 resolution to half. Oh well, I'll reduce them right now, hold on..... There, that should do it.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
@Ophelia: I can talk about Doutzen's muscular frame all day long. In fact, I can pick on any model and not feel guilty about it. But that's just me. Check it out, I found some more editing goofs in this year's show, so let's give it a rundown, shall we? VAMP'S EDITING GOOF GUIDE TO THE VSFS 2008 - PART 2 Dangerous --MORGANE DUBLED-- In this shot, she passes by Jorge A few cuts later, she passes by Jorge again --NOEMIE LENOIR-- In this shot, she gives Jorge a kiss and then walks away In the next cut, she's kissing him again Pink Planet --ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY-- In this shot, she passes by the Pink dancers A few cuts later, she passes by them again Ballet De Fleur --MIRANDA KERR-- In this shot, she passes by Emanuela In the next immediate cut, she's already backstage removing her wings In the next cut, Miranda is seen arriving backstage just before Marina walks out A few cuts later, Miranda is seen backstage removing her wings (again) Black Tie Holiday --IZABEL GOULART-- In this shot, she lifts up the gift box over her shoulder In the next immediate cut, its back down (and she never raises it again) In total, this year's show had over TWELVE editing goofs compared to last year's seventeen goofs. Not exactly a good thing, but a little bit better.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
I agree, she was more vibrant and elegant in the 2005 show compared to the rest. Her body was slender and she looked stylish in her outfits. In the 2006 show, she looked super uncomfortable in the Pink segment when she walked out wearing that graduation cap and wings. Watch that segment again (she's closes the segment) and look at her face as she walks. You can tell she'd rather hurl. For the 2008 show, I was just in shock at her transformation. The slender body she had in the 2005 show was replaced by a female hulking bodybuilder. Her thighs were just massively muscular and I was like "Whoa, what is that?" Now, I don't mind that she's doing her best to stay in shape, but that was way too over the top for me. Girlfriend needs to stay away from the Thighmaster and focus more on abs.

The VSFS 2006. That seemed like a really long time ago, doesn't it? Check it out, I found another set of editing goofs for this particular show and I will give a segment-by-segment analysis of each goof and give a visual explanation for all. The VSFS 2006 has a TAD bit more editing goofs than the 2005 show. In total, there are SIX editing goofs to look out for. Let's rock! VAMP'S EDITING GOOF GUIDE TO THE VSFS 2006 Femme Fatale --KAROLINA KURKOVA-- In this shot, she's already on the catwalk In the next cut, she's just about to exit from backstage to the catwalk Coquettish Fetish --ADRIANA LIMA-- At the end of the catwalk, she does MAGNUM and turns to walk away In the next shot, she does BLUE STEEL and turns to walk away Come Fly With Me --KAROLINA KURKOVA-- In this shot, she's still on the catwalk In the next cut, she's already backstage with her hat off (and Andi Muise is seen on the TV monitor even though she hasn't appeared onstage yet) PINK --MIRANDA KERR-- In this shot, she passes Rosie on the left In the next cut, she passes by Rosie on the right Glacial Goddesses --KAROLINA KURKOVA-- In this shot, she reaches the end of the catwalk and turns right (MAGNUM) In the next cut, she faces left (BLUE STEEL) and then turns right to walk away --ALESSANDRA AMBROSIO-- In this shot, she enters the catwalk without a Santa's hat In the next cut, she's wearing the Santa's hat That's all six goofs. Watch the show back and you tell me if I'm right or wrong on these findings.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2005 (GENERAL THREAD)
I think this is the very first time anyone has discussed what I'm about to discuss (on this thread anyway). I discovered a small handful of editing goofs in the VSFS 2005 and I will give a segment-by-segment visual explanation for each one. Since the show was filmed twice, I might as well expose this bogus practice. If you noticed these flaws before, then you have a sharp eye. If not, then read on. The VSFS 2005 has the fewest editing goofs of the bunch. In total, there are FOUR editing goofs. Let's start! VAMP'S EDITING GOOF GUIDE TO THE VSFS 2005 Sexy Shadow Dreams --NAOMI CAMPBELL-- In this shot, Naomi Campbell can be seen walking behind Andi A few cuts later, Naomi magically disappears from the shot Sexy Russian Babes --NATASHA POLY-- In this shot, Natasha loses her shoe on the catwalk A few cuts later, both of her shoes are on A few cuts later, she is holding one of the shoes Sexy Delicious --ADRIANA LIMA-- In this shot, Adriana is obviously still on the catwalk In the next immediate cut, she is already backstage Sexy Toys --KAROLINA KURKOVA-- In this shot, Karolina is seen walking to Gisele's right In the next cut, she is passing Gisele on the left side That's all four goofs. These are minor but noticeable flaws to watch out for. Watch the show again and then you tell me if I'm right or wrong on these findings.

Well, since we're in the mood for reposts, I might as well join in. Hey, if Pink says its okay, then I'm gonna do it. TITLE: SUBURBIA PH: STEVEN LIPPMAN MAG: MALIBU MAGAZINE JUNE/JULY 2008 Click on the thumbnail to view the Super Duper-UHQ scan! (All pics re-uploaded for faster download time) As far as I know, this original Malibu edit is quite difficult to find on Ebay for a good price. It seems only Marisa's official Ebay page is selling it for a hefty price of $60 (autographed). Good thing I found it before it went out-of-print.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
@vsfan: Yeah, I noticed that, too. But it was barely shown on the broadcast, so it doesn't really count. And the person that went before Alessandra in that shot was Bianca (the other set of legs belong to the cameraman). It still bothers me that to find out the VS shows are filmed twice. I don't know why but I was assuming this whole time that everything was done once (like every fashion show) and that any imperfections that was seen on the broadcast was normal. Apparently, that's not the case. But check this out, I did a segment-by-segment analysis of the 2005 & 2006 & 2007 VS shows and let me tell you that as each year gets bigger, the goofs get bigger as well. Yeah, that's right, I said "segment-by-segment", which means I had to watch nearly three hours of VS models walking over and over and, boy, is my arm tired. Here's the breakdown: In the 2005 show, there's only FOUR editing goofs. In the 2006 show, there were SIX editing goofs. And in the 2007 show, there were....hold your breath...SEVENTEEN editing goofs. That's right, since the '07 show was plagued with editing goofs up the ass, I'm beginning to think that the show didn't go as well as it looked both times. I will provide a shot-by-shot walkthrough (including some mishaps that you may have missed) to go with each editing goof but, unfortunately, I can't post them on this thread (it would be WAY off-topic), so you'll have to go to the other VS show threads to see them. Some of them were quite obvious, while the rest will surprise y'alls, I'm sure of it.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
Y'know, here's what I don't understand. The show is filmed TWICE and then the best footage is edited together to make the show look flawless, yet the editors prefer to use the more "dramatic" edits rather than the "perfect" ones. Many examples come to mind: Natasha Poly and Karolina losing a shoe on the runway. I'm sure they didn't lose it on the second walkthrough, yet the editors thought, "Let's use the shoe goof because it makes the girls looks human". Oh dear god, GO EFF YOURSELF! Another example: Karolina's little red dress mishap in this year's show. I'm sure they were able to fix her up and it went perfectly the second time around, yet the editors decided to use the footage of Karolina looking like she missed the whole thing. Another example: Jessica Stam's quick little stumble in the 2007 show. I'm sure she got it right the second time, but NOOO, they had to use the cut of her stumbling (and then her trying to keep a straight face). I'm gonna go back and find every editing goof for the 2005, 2006 and 2007 shows. I'm gonna prove that these editors aren't as nifty and sly as they think they are.

Y'know Pink, I need to start a dedicated thread just for VS commercials for 2008. I've capped so many that I've lost track of most of them. This way I can place them all in order so that no one has to backtrack through so many pages. Where can I do that? Anyway, this Xmas commercial isn't for a "sale" but it features Doutzen sliding the gift box down the stairway rails and Adriana catching it. Its the closest thing I could remember to the description that you gave, Savanna. @Joe: Of course, credit goes to Pink for watching a very late episode of Desperate Housewives. If anything, I love watching Kyle McLachlan (he was Agent Cooper in "Twin Peaks") as Bree's husband, but I can't stand watching the rest of that show. Especially that freakin' Gabriella, GRRR!!! @Pink: That little "skit" between Bee-yotti (as the narrator calls her) and Doutzen isn't so much "scripted" as it is just a bunch of surprised humble reactions. It's like the director yelled "Just make something up!" to Behati while Doutzen sat there trying to think of reasons to not be part of the skit.

I know which one you're talking about. It's the VS Gift card commercial. It's on page 284, post #5672. You're lucky I got it because it only aired during the VSFS 2008 and one episode of Desperate Housewives. All of my clips need the AC3 filter in order to hear any sound. Download the program from this link: AC3 FILTER Don't worry, it's a clean link. Download the program and then install it and you should be able to hear my vids in fine Dolby Digital.

@k_dub: As a lover of jazz music, it kinda irks me to hear you say that Chris Botti is a "sax player". Chris Botti is a trumpet player NOT a sax player. Dave Koz, Kenny G, and Dave Sanborn are sax players. I've had the privilege of seeing Chris Botti live in concert and unless I missed something, there is NO sax playing in any of his sets. Let's not get the two confused.

Yech, that Wuerth Calendar pic is ICKY. Red lipstick with too much eyeliner! No wonder she looks like she wants to strangle someone. As for the DT Magazine edit, that is the second time the Malibu edit has been used (and may I remind everyone that my UHQ scans of the original Malibu edit can be found on this thread by using the search function). I don't want people to think that these scans were never done before. I don't remember if I posted these here before. I probably did. Or maybe I didn't. But I probably did. Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
Okay, this "two show" thing really made me notice a handful of flaws in the editing. If you've already noticed it, then you are way ahead of me. Otherwise, let me point out a few editing goofs that tried to make the show look "flawless". Ready? VAMP'S EDITING GOOF GUIDE FOR THE VSFS 2008 - PART 1 DANGEROUS --Jorge Moreno-- In this shot, Jorge is standing on the catwalk in front of Carmen In the next cut, he's on the stage --Angela Lindvall-- Notice how her hair is flat in both backstage shots But when she walks onstage, her hair is screaming up to high heaven THE MODERN --Marisa Miller/Adriana Lima/Selita Ebanks-- In this cut, Adriana is seen walking towards the backstage area as Marisa walks out In the next cut, its Selita (not Adriana) seen walking towards the backstage area In the next cut, its Adriana walking backstage past Marisa (not Selita) PINK PLANET --Behati Prinsloo-- Just as she approaches the center of the stage, a quick cut shows her blowing a kiss and flashing her ass But notice how the dancers in the background are in different positions in both cuts BALLET DE FLEUR (editing goof) --Miranda Kerr-- At the end of Ballet De Fleur, Miranda is seen running back to her dressing room corner wearing a yellow cashmere outfit (from the Glamour Goddesses segment) The only problem is that she was wearing a light blue bra and Starlet panty with butterfly wings during Ballet De Fleur. WHAAAT??? BLACK TIE HOLIDAY --Noemie Lenoir-- In this shot, Noemie reaches the end of the catwalk and turns around In the next immediate cut, she is blowing a kiss to the audience just as she reaches the end of the catwalk FINALE In this UHQ scan, Karolina is the one standing at the far right of the stage In this shot, Carmen Kass is seen standing at the far right of the stage Now that I've revealed these flaws, I'll never watch the show the same way I used to because all I'll be doing is noticing those goddamned stupid-ass flaws. UPDATE: I've found another batch of editing goofs for the show and I will post my findings soon.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
First of all, NO, I did not know the show was done twice in the same night. I mean, its not like all the other fashion shows (Paris, Milan, New York) do this. If that was the case, then I am still disappointed with all the editing and the slow motion and the mishaps of the broadcast. I'm guessing the 7PM show was the media blitz version with celebs and photogs. The 10 PM show must've been a "Take Two" kind of deal with no audience or photogs (which must've felt good for those girls). Or maybe it was neither, I don't know!

Doutzen Kroes
It's time for some new Doutzen material, people! How about a new Calvin Klein advert? Yeah, I haven't seen these in a while, so its good to see her in something OTHER than a VS picture. Click on the thumbnail to view the UHQ scan!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 (POST-SHOW Thread)
Check this out: in the November issue of Ocean Drive Magazine (with Miranda Kerr on the cover), the featured article discussed mainly about the VSFS 2008, even though it hadn't been filmed yet. Well, for the December issue (with Pamela Anderson on the cover), the magazine features a follow-up article to the VSFS 2008. While the majority of the article focuses more on the "oohs and ahhs" of the re-opened Fontainbleau Hotel, it does give a little bit of behind-the-scenes info about the show. The biggest tidbit was the fact that the VSFS 2008 was actually held TWICE on the same night. While it elaborates that there was a 7 PM and a 10PM show, it doesn't exactly explain anything else. Was it a two-part show? Was it the same show with all seven catwalk segments? Or was it a completely different show? I don't know the answers to that and neither does this article. Oh, but there is some nice pictures and I made some super duper scans. These pictures have been seen so many times, but this is the first time they are available in Super UHQ format. Bigger versions! source: modernnight scan: yours truly Okay, this has been bugging me for a while so let me clear something up about this. Regarding the scans that refer to the source as "yours truly", all of those scans are done by my friend kroqjock. When he credits himself, he uses the term "All scans by yours truly" instead of "Scanned by me". When he says "yours truly", he's referring to himself, not another person by that name. It's not a big deal, but I just find it weird that not very many people get that "yours truly" reference.

ARRGGH!!! Goddammit, I missed it! It didn't show for the first two commercial breaks, so I went to do a quick little task and when I came back, the third commercial break had already started and I missed it! But I still caught a glimpse of the last 8-9 seconds and it only features one shot of KK (and is NOT in High Def). If y'all can watch out for it again, I'll be sure to catch it. Hopefully, it will air on tomorrow's rebroadcast of the VSFS 2008 on the CW. Fingers crossed.

@kate: Wow, that was too easy, wasn't it? Regardless, I'm still gonna make some UHQ scans whether y'all like it or not. Funny how the website still misspells her last name.
