I capped this commercial a day before the VSFS 2008 re-aired on the CW. I just forgot to encode and post it. It's the same exact commercial that CBS aired days before the original airing of the VSFS 2008 (but features a different male narrator and uses the CW logo and is NOT in High Def). If you are a VS completist, then you gotta add this one to your collection 'cuz you won't find it anywhere else. I don't know about y'alls, but when I look at the February 2009 issue of Vanity Fair, I tend to notice that she's got that stubby index finger on her right hand. I hope that's just a camera angle thing. These scans are sponsored in part by kroqjock

Eva is the February 2009 cover girl for Glamour Magazine. She looks exactly the same as she did in her Allure Magazine edit. Same hair, same look, hmmm...... These scans brought to you by kroqjock

Happy New Year to all of y'alls! It's sunny and cool here in southern California and I'm guessing that wherever you are in the world....probably not so much. Anyway, I am SUPER late with posting this one but I've been waiting for the right time to unleash it and here it is. I'm sure y'all have seen it a billion times....but not in spankin' High Def you ain't! VICTORIA'S SECRET VALENTINE'S DAY 2008 HD COMMERCIAL featuring Spanky Click on the thumbnail to download the 480p HD clip! TECH SPECS: 720x480, DOLBY AC3 STEREO, XVID, AVI FORMAT, 0:30 SECONDS In case you forgot, this commercial was heavily hyped as THE Superbowl XLII commercial to watch out for. SO.....I waited the ENTIRE goddamned, muthereffing B.S. Superbowl game for this commercial to air (YES, I really did) and it finally aired near the end of the fourth quarter.....only to be a total disappointment. With all the hype that surrounded this commercial, I felt more of a fizzle than a snap-crackle-pop. Seriously, with lines like "Victoria's Secret would like to remind you.....this game will be over soon.....let the real games begin", all I could think was (*GASP*) "Are they referring to SEX?" NNNOOOO!!!!!

Nice little collection, UP or Obsessed or whatever name you use. Oh, and you forgot to use the footage from the semi-annual sale commercial.

I won't rip the video but to those of you that have the right programs to rip videos from an encrypted HTTP URL, here's the link to the video: http://cache2.rtl.nl/web/components/TESTTEST/8yrjlxdc0l7thgsh9b47ld7yr/di_doutzen_kroes.avi.MiMedia_WM_1500K_V9_av_an_t4b4l4r4_712x400.wmv Good luck!
  7. It may seem like I'm being mean by picking on these ladies, but I'm not. I'm just telling you not to trust your eyes TOO much. But think about it, whenever you see a beautiful model and hear the way they talk, it should be the kind of voice that makes you go "Wow, she's got the look AND the voice". I could name three random models right now and you would ALL agree with me that the voice matches the look: Fernanda Tavares, Bar Refaeli, and Raquel Zimmermann. Now these ladies may not be your faves but they have the look and voice. Hey, even models with thick accents like Laetitia Casta, Flavia De Oliveira, Snejana Onopka, and (god forbid) Agyness Deyn sound the way you would expect them to sound. How would you feel if you saw a complete package only to see that the contents inside aren't what you expected? Yeah, you all know THAT feeling. And don't even get me started on the models with the whiny and nasally voices......

No, I don't mind, keep them posted. But what made you choose to make screencaps for this particular commercial, though? I've posted nearly 7 or 8 commercials of Spanky and this is the one you chose?

Remember that Semi-Annual Sale commercial? Yeah, I got it right here in 720p non-High Def, YEAH WHAT! According to the commercial, the Semi-Annual Sale is only in effect until January 12, 2009. That's a big shock to me considering that the SAS usually goes on for a few months. Any explanation, Pink? VICTORIA'S SECRET SEMI-ANNUAL SALE 2009 featuring Spanky Koo Koo, Heidi Klum & Oluchi Onweagba Click on the thumbnail to download the 720p (non) HD clip! TECH SPECS: 1280x720, DOLBY AC3 STEREO, XVID, AVI FORMAT, 0:15 SECONDS Big thanks to Tyra Banks for the heads up. Well, this looks like the very last VS commercial of 2008!
  10. It's a bit of both. But let me be absolutely clear that that actual show itself is NOT a goof or mistake. Everything went according to plan and without a hitch. It just so happens that the show's editor(s) aren't as nifty and sly as they think they are. Continuity Errors, Visual miscues, Unsynchonized audio, and editing goofs are everywhere in this show and we have the right to protest and demand an UNCUT version. If the Raspberry Awards could nominate an award for "Worst Edited TV Show of 2008", it would be the VSFS 2008. To the naked eye, it doesn't look like there's anything wrong. You came for a flesh party and that's what you got. But to the nitpicking eye, its just a goof nightmare. We've probably pointed out about 65% of the goofs not including little tidbits here and there. Watch the show again. Beautiful women against a badly edited backdrop. A two-for-one deal.
  11. Just like the topics says, this (throughly useless) thread is dedicated to models whose unsexy voices don't match their femme fatale looks. Don't be mistaken though, it doesn't mean that I dislike these ladies because of their voices, but it kinda does ruin my perception of them (since they get marketed as sex symbols). And to prove my point, I'll provide Youtube videos to show you that I ain't joshin'. Here's a list of ladies whose voices I can't STAND to listen to......most of the time. I know that NONE of you will agree with me and that's fine. It's not like I'll change anyone's mind. Yet. --CAROLINE WINBERG-- As of late, Caroline has been appearing in numerous risque editorials (lots of topless shots) and looking quite dangerous in her Guess ads. But as soon as she starts talking, its like "Huh, what?" Those two factors just don't seem to mesh very well. Is this how ALL Swedish girls really sound like? --BIANCA BALTI-- When you see Bianca's exotic eyes and pouty lips, you would think she would be a chick with an exotic tone. The kind that would make men turn to mush even if she whispered. But in Bianca's case, what you see is what you get. --TYRA BANKS-- Oh dear god, where do I even start with her? --ADRIANA LIMA-- Everyone has a love-hate relationship with her accent and bass-driven voice. There are days where she pronounces all her pronouns and vowels correctly and there are days where you just can't seem to understand anything. One of her better interviews This one.....not so much --ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY-- British chicks are always cool. Their proper and quaint English accents are quite a turn on for me. In fact, just listen to the voices of ladies like Kate Beckinsale or Keira Knightley and you just fall head over heels in love. But Rosie's accent is quite the exception.................... (She starts talking at the 1:14 mark) --LARA STONE-- Usually, lisps are something that shouldn't be made fun of, but in this case, its too funny to ignore. Lara can speak English perfectly but her lisp is so heavy that she sounds like she's spitting in your face. On top of that, she tends to talk at a blistering 60 mph. Two negatives don't equal a positive. (She starts talking at the 1:28 mark) I was thinking if I knew any other models with unsexy voices........turns out, I don't. END OF TOPIC.
  12. Yup, I guess that explains it more. So many goofs this year! What a bunch of effing bullsh*t!
  13. @Pink: I wasn't talking about Alessandra or Adriana. I was talking about Usher's little hat. Since Alessandra was the second girl in the line-up, it would be weird that Usher already has his hat off (because Heidi was the one to take it later in the segment). And remember, Izabel had different shoes on, which means somehow Usher got the hat back from somebody. AAHH!!! I'm confusing myself.

@Limalicious: You need to give me more specifics. What show? What time? C'mon, if you wanna see this commercial, y'all better give me the full info!
  15. @Joe: I dared her to do that. Anybody care to explain THIS piece of Continuity Error? <----- -----> So which one was which? This is all kinds of honked up.
  16. @Joe: Hmm, now THAT picture makes that whole Finale thing a goof. Not technically an editing goof, but a goof. Makes the show look flawless, doesn't it? Here, did anyone see this goof? This one is 100% an editing goof! Check it out....Mind you, this all takes place in a matter of seconds, so I'm guessing that a lot of the footage is intentionally just out of order. FINALE --Doutzen Kroes-- Notice that Doutzen is standing on the right side just getting out of her Black Tie Holiday outfit A few cuts later, Doutzen is seen running backstage still in her Black Tie Holiday outfit A few cuts after THAT, Doutzen is backstage already in her pink robes "Flawless" my ass. BTW, in case you are wondering, the whole drill instructor segment of Pink Planet was one giant goof. I'm sure EVERYONE noticed all the goofs in that one, so I don't really need to point them out. There's also a bunch of minor edits that look like goofs but I can't really tell. For example, in the "Black Tie Holiday" segment, watch Selita's hands. Between shots, her hands alternate between her hips and then straight down various times. Also, at the beginning of the "Dangerous" segment, Jorge is seen entering the stage twice. These aren't goofs that are too big to point out, but they're there.

Okay, so there's a semi-new commercial for the Semi-Annual Sale? And where exactly (besides cable TV) can I see this commercial? If ya'll see it it on prime time, y'all better give me the word. New footage or not, its one for the archives.
  18. No, it's very possible that they did meet backstage. Since both shots aren't on the same area (and Heidi is not in the last shot), who's to say they didn't meet and leave together backstage? This one is not correct but isn't incorrect either, so we can't really say if its a goof of any kind.
  19. Hey, Nefertiti, since you seem to be on a posting rampage, how about posting this one: Caroline has a new 12-page editorial in the January 2009 issue of Allure Magazine. Could you scan those pics and post those for us? Don't tell me you don't have those after all the stuff you've posted.
  20. It's really not fair to discuss about "mainstream visibility" when you can't bring up how it used to be done in the past. If that's the case, I won't discuss names but I will name a few ways of how a supermodel can get her name known in the homes of middle America (in no particular order). --MUSIC VIDEOS Remember Duran Duran? Remember George Michael? Those artists used a bevy of up-and-coming models in their videos and used them properly. Instead of exploiting the models like a bunch of hoochie mamas like some other bands did, they incorporated their beauty and mystique into the videos, which brought up curiousity. The curiousity meant lots of attention and lots of attention equals fame. Nowadays, music videos are a dying form. MTV isn't even MTV anymore and the channels that DO show music videos aren't getting the same amount of viewers that an episode of "The Hills" is getting. But all it takes is that one particular band with the right particular song and the right particular video to get attention. Hey, Kanye did it! --HOSTING/MOVIE/TV GIGS Remember "House Of Style" and "Singled Out"? Remember "Hitman"? Or even "Twilight"? Some of the actresses of those movies and hostesses of those shows started out as models and look at them now. All it took was some talent and good looks. --SPORTS ILLUSTRATED The Swimsuit issue is still considered one of the most anticipated mags every year, so it can't hurt a model's chances to be seen by millions of sports fans and pervs around the world. If it worked for an unknown like Anne Vyalitsyna, then why not give it a try? --MEN'S MAGAZINES One of the few ways to appeal to a crowd of males that don't read High fashion magazine like Vogue or Harpers is to appear in a men's magazine. Maxim, FHM, Esquire, GQ are all perfect ways to get the exposure that a model needs (whether its the cover or an editorial). Usually each month's issue (of either publication) tends to get a lot of publicity, so even if the model isn't on the cover, the exposure is there. --MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR CAMPAIGNS Of course, the fame can appear simply being known as the "fill-in-the-blank" girl. GUESS and BEBE are a few examples of a company that thrives on unknowns to push the brand. Sure, a model can appear in as many print ads, but when people start seeing models on busstops and billboards all over the country, it can only help the fame factor. --SCANDALS This one has a 50-50 chance of working. Some lesser known models became more famous through scandals and some just disappeared because of it. I wouldn't recommend it, but it is an option. A model can appear in as many high fashion editorials with the most respected photographer(s) as she wants to, but if they are trying achieve a mainstream status with the money and fame, they have to think beyond high fashion. Many models that leave the high fashion world for a chance at fame tend to alienate a chunk of their fan base (like Doutzen Kroes, for example), but in return they gain a newer and bigger fanbase and I'm sure that's all they really want.

Dude, you're gonna have to catch it on prime time because I don't watch the FX channel. And its definitely not gonna be shown on ABC tonight (12-28-08) because "The Sound Of Music" will be shown from 8PM to 12AM (four hours). And besides, the Semi-Annual sale isn't for another week or so.....at least to my knowledge.....when I used to work there. Need some clarification, Pink.
  22. Jeez, the more goofs we find, the worse it makes this whole "two show" process look, doesn't it? Here's a clearer look at those shoes. The girl looks like a body double to me Oh, I asked my filmmaker friend what the term is for something like that (where an item is seen onscreen then is changed or missing in the next), and it's called a "Continuity Error". So it's not really an editing goof. Same goes for the Heidi "hair" loop, which is a Visual goof. BTW, Joe, you credited vsholic for that shoe continuity error. I wonder if anyone credits me for the other twelve goofs I found. Probably not.
  23. Hey guys, I didn't know where to post this one so I'm gonna stick this lovely picture of Adriana right here. You won't find this pic in the catalog or on the website, that's fo' sho'.....or CAN you? Click on the thumbnail to view the UHQ scan! So has anyone visited this store yet? Oh, I'm sure it's just filled to the brim with dedicated employees. :yuckky:
  24. Yeah, I checked out the scene and you're right. It's a reverse tracking shot. Basically, the camera did a close-up of Adriana and then it was played in reverse in real-time. It looks weird but its isn't really an editing goof (more like a visual goof). Apparently, they can hire as many girls as they want. The number of girls per year seems to increase very slightly. My problem is that the more models they bring to the show, the less we see of them on the broadcast. Every single year, one segment is always edited out of the show and we never see footage of it (just pictures). Seriously, Morgane Dubled and most of the Pink Planet girls were only shown on TV once! Why hire so many girls if we ain't gonna see them?

I know a bunch of you don't frequent the VSFS 2008 threads much, but just in case y'all missed it, Marisa is featured in the December issue of Ocean Drive Magazine with Pam Anderson on the cover. She and Alessandra have a two-page photo and I scanned the crap out of it. BTW, I SAID IT'S FROM OCEAN DRIVE MAGAZINE.
