So it makes sense that his decisions about Iran are more about those connections than what’s best for America or normal people. At the end of the day, it feels like he’s just trying to protect his own power and wealth.

Currently there's a clear conflict between Donald’s statements and the assessments of U.S. intelligence. It mirrors a familiar dilemma seen in authoritarian systems where loyalists tend to filter information to align with what the leader wants to hear. As a result, the original intelligence gets distorted multiple times before it reaches Donald, ultimately Pete assuring him, "Yeah yeah, total victory, all targets eliminated 100%.
