Is it just me or is the show not trending on the level it usually does? I do see it trending on Twitter but it feels like it usually gets more attention. Sunday night is a curious time to air it too.

Did adriana trend? After the tribute?

This is so painful and lackluster to watch. My god. How much further downhill can they go? I'm just waiting for adri. I haven't watched the full show in years. And now I know why.

Good call. I completely missed that and thought emerald had them all included already. It's so crazy how many outfits adriana has had and how stunning she has looked in nearly every single show. I think that her walk in the 2005 sexy dreams outfit was one of my favorites.

Though I haven't seen any direct videos of Candice undermining Adriana, this is a forum. Not a court of law. It's not like there's not a boat of circumstantial details / happenings that point to Candice's not being so fond of Adriana. I'm not even necessarily saying anything derogatory about Candice. It's more of an observation. I too think she's matured. And in general being in such a cut throat business brings out the competitive side in some people. I didn't think about it before but it's true that within the brand Candice seems to be best buds with girls that aren't given nearly as much attention by VS (Behati, Lily, even Erin when she was around). She also seems to have an affinity for Gisele and views her as the supreme (nothing wrong with it -- I do too). But Gisele was not at VS when Candice was. I do think there was an element of direct competition with Adriana. But like we acknowledged Adriana does her own thing too. She seems to bond with more like-minded people, namely some fellow Brazilian models or people that share a familiar element in terms of cultural backgrounds. She had also multiple times made comments implying that she believes that there's not a lot of people in the industry that are real. I'm sure she's had her share of experiences. Side bar, someone said Taylor seems humble and genuine. Taylor seems to be many things (she is down right gorgeous) but humble is not something I've ever associated with her. But I didn't see her comments about Adriana at PFW. Happy to hear it. And yeah even as Behati didn't reciprocate Candice's novel to her, she mentioned she could write a novel on Adriana. I've always appreciated Behati in general.

I also kind of feel for Ale. I know that she's not as big of an icon representative to the brand but it felt that when Ale left there wasn't much of an acknowledgment. Not by the models or by vs. It would pale in comparison to adriana, that's to be expected, but it feels like a 90/10 and I wonder how she felt observing that. She's not too bitter about it I'm sure. She even wished the angels well but just given the way she seemed to leave. I wonder what it's like to know that Adriana basically was the bulk of the press the show got this year and it's because she's leaving. It's going to be that way in December too. So I hope she's up to around 12.6m after that or better.

I know that this was hinted at in the news thread but I feel it's interesting to note. Almost every vs angel has publicly noted their admiration for adriana, and with such humility too. They all said a variation of the SAME thing (she's humble, the reason why they wanted to be angels, and that she *is* Victoria's secret) - I loved the repetition because it's the actual truth. They all have so much love and respect for her. The interesting part is the people that didn't say anything. Of course no one HAS to make a public declaration of their feelings about Adriana. But I don't know that you have to be super close to her to do it. And that leads me to think there's some bad blood or at least some feelings of animosity from candice towards Adriana. She's the only one of the not so new angels that had nothing to say. Most of the younger ones even had something to say, except Taylor, but that's slightly different. I'm sure that they'll have a section in the show with the angels talking about adriana and candice will say something nice in the same way that Miranda did about Adriana, but it's different. Candice made like 3 posts speaking to her love for behati (which is cool they're best friends) -- but it's not like showing appreciation for someone is unusual for her or she doesn't post things like that on IG like adriana usually doesn't. Not saying anything negative about candice... I'm just noting that I think it's interesting. But I'm not so sure that Adriana would have anything to say if the situation is reversed. Except I think adriana is way better at selling what she says so her praise in a vs snippet of candice would sound much more believable and less forced. Lol.

Yeah she was at berimbau do brasil. But this is the first time she hasn't gone to the after party right? Lol there's metin interacting with the balloons because no one in her family really seems to engage him. At least I've never seen it in photos.

After the show at a restaurant. Hmm I wonder if she's not going to the after party? Or maybe she'll just make a late appearance.

Ok i know this is not a general vs thread but wow they did candice so dirty with this outfit? I never thought I'd see the day that candice had one of the worst of the entire show. Although I didn't like either of Adriana's outfits I loved the wings that looked like white peacock feathers.

I've never really spent much time thinking about how emotional the last show would be for her. She grew up with VS. I also loved the genuine emotion. It's true to her character and it also is going to make for a good clip for them lol. For the fans though I think this was the hard part. Seeing her in the actual show won't be as sad as seeing her go through the emotions of participating in it in real time.

This one is giving me the feels. Sigh. I'm happy she's moving on but dammit. It's sad too.

Is metin not in attendance? I figured if he was he would have posted fifty ig stories with a partial backdrop hinting at being there. 🙄 I can't pretend to know what either of them wants but if he's not there, I really wonder why. It's her last show and it clearly means a lot to her.

I don't like the make up on her or the outfits. I think the last few years vs tends to not flatter her so much with their make up/outfits, where as the make up on most other girls this year is phenomenal. But truthfully it doesn't even matter. She looks so at peace with the way things are ending with VS. She looks happy and fulfilled, and I think VS will give her a far better farewell than Ale. I'm glad she's moving on. And there's no real reason to keep watching the show (for me). I hope she doesn't disappear from the public eye. She has been doing things lately and I think she's going to have a business venture. But can't be too careful given a few influences. Certainly the end of an era for vs. She looked so emotional and I loved the sentiment expressed in her last post. Queen.

It seems likely. I'm assuming Gwendolyn Christie from Game of Thrones as well. They love her and she was on a set with Adriana.

She looked so young and fresh faced. It's nice to see that she made an appearance. Loved the whole vibe.

I honestly didn't mean to make you feel as though you're being disrespected. But I apologize if you were. I was being preemptive in my post because you always respond with the same comment after every post but misinterpret, mischaracterize, or miss the point I'm making. I don't really care that she doesn't have multiple fashion campaigns and isn't opening for major designers. I evaluate what she does in comparison to what her goals seem to be. It's great that she has these big contracts but even to keep them you have to keep up a certain standard, I'm not saying she has let herself go or that she's unhealthy. But you don't have to have a negative opinion of who she is dating or think a piece of chicken from KFC is criminal, the point is that her behavior tends to fall into a pattern. We've seen her be unhappy with her body and anyone can observe what kind of micro behavior leads up to that. I don't think this is gossip or even salacious.

I didn't say it's a reach and untrue that she made him croissants. I just said I think it's a reach to care about the fact that she's feeding him or cooking only for him. Who cares? Is essentially my point. If you were being sarcastic -- that wasn't initially clear. I don't know what or who you're referring to in the beginning of the second paragraph. For me, there's actually proof of the shady shit that Metin has actually done and it's pressing enough as it is. You're allowed to have your opinion. No one is trying to silence you, except maybe Luna. I just personally think that it's annoying that we focus on metin as the source of why she sometimes chooses to eat unhealthy. And you can say that you're just trying to highlight the correlation, but it can become difficult to separate it from causation with every mark about her health or weight being followed by his "influence" or his presence. She's a grown ass woman and maybe it should just be more about her lack of will power or care. Like you point out it's a pattern for her to change based on who she is with. And we've discussed this many times before...in this case her changes seem to be more contrary to who she is. Maybe as a fan of hers it would just get annoying to have to see any correlation at this point because at the end of the day if she is influenced, it would be by someone she knows about on year. And in many ways her susceptibility is the most damning thing. And before morpheu comes on here telling me she's had a successful modeling career and it's natural for models to start slipping as they get older. Yeah. We know. The only difference is that the models that have voiced that they want to continue modeling, much like adriana has, need to work even harder in terms of their diet and exercise to keep up. And so maybe when her fans see behavior that speaks to the opposite or is likely to start a pattern that will, they're concerned that it's going to get in the way of what she herself wants.

What scene did your friend spot her in for a second

I think her cameo was cut. She wasn't alone in that. Matt Damon's cameo was cut as well. I haven't seen the movie but no one seems to have spotted her in it, and if anyone could the people on this board would have. I only hope she knew her cameo was cut before she went to the premiere.

He's staying at her house. It's a reach to point out that she's feeding him. It would be weird if she went out of her way NOT to. I have seen the correlation between Metin being around and her eating a lot of carbs. But her diet and what she chooses to eat is on her. I've said it before. Metin is definitely a shady character and I'm not a fan for a dozen different reasons. But she's been a model since she was 15 years old. If she chooses to indulge in carbs and let herself go, whether the influence is Metin or something else, that is squarely and purely on her. I do remember how she made the IG story about finding it tough to get back into shape after the last time he was in town, and she barely posted photos of herself. All of this would lead one to think she definitely doesn't WANT to let herself go and she does care. But she has full autonomy and she is nearly 40 years old. She knows what's good for her and if the consensus *is* she's not doing right by herself, it's nobody's fault but hers.

Someone that has followed VS for a long time please shed some light/let me know your thoughts -- how likely is it that VS is going to drop Adriana soon? She hasn't done anything with them this year. Not one event or photoshoot (right?). Maybe that's typical. But I feel like VS has basically forgotten she exists. I'm sure they'll use her for the show, but the last few years she's barely gotten any coverage from VS during them. They're understandably choosing to promote the new girls, as they'll be sticking around longer. But with all of this said, is it worth keeping Adriana on brand for as much money as they must be paying her? She's still high up on the list on Forbes. And her biggest contracts are VS and Maybelline. Just seems like her relationship with VS could be nearing its end. If they do choose not to renew her contract (whenever it is up) I would think it's their choice opposed to hers -- since she has frequently stated she wants to be an angel into her 40s. But who knows... She's seemingly changed a lot in the last 12 months or so.
