Not that I’m aware of...from what I’ve read Carmen Kass, Naomi Campbell, Liya Kebede, Oluchi Onweagba, Ana Beatriz Barrios, Isabeli Fontana, Edita Vilkevičiūtė and Maryna Linchuk (I know I’m missing more in the top of my head but I can’t remember) all turned down Angel contracts.

It is a thing. You know Sophia thinks she’s into something with this segment but like everything she hashes out, it’ll be garbage. I just hope I get to die in peace before VS axes her and replaces the whole creative team while they’re at it.

Agreed. I always believed when they introduced the 10 Angels it’s shouldve been Lais and Joan. No disrespect to Jasmine but Joan has such amazing presence on and off the runway and would’ve made a perfect Angel...her resume is superb but I doubt she would’ve wanted to be held back by VS. She’s one of the most successful models of color in the industry. What I find interesting about Jasmine is that she’s probably the only black model...well, model of color that has NEVER spoken about the issues models of color face in the industry compared to other models. Unless she doesn’t experience them herself or something but that always caught my attention

Well Thot is actually her last name (I believe it’s Nuer tribe native to South Sudan) and Nyadak is her actual first name but since ignorant whites couldn’t pronounce it, her teachers called her Duckie instead lol

I love Jasmine, not my fave angel because I didn’t have a pleasant experience with her but I think she’s a good model but defintely doesn’t have a presence like her predecessors like Tyra and Selita. But I do hope she gets to open a segment this year. She and Martha are the only angels who havent opened a segment yet...

Personally, I think Leomie and maybe even Mélie and Duckie (if she kills it) would make much better Angels than Lameka or Jasmine for that matter lol despite being a WoC, Jasmine blends too easily with the rest of the Angels in photoshoots that it almost makes it seem like she’s just a white girl dipped in chocolate. Also almost everyone in the YouTube comments always says she looks exactly the same like e other girls just with darker skin. She has a strong walk but considering her reputation for being a mean girl and being relatively unknown outside of VS nowadays (she used to have such a strong HF presence before), I wouldn’t mind her being replaced by another token black Angel lol Leomie based on seniorship and Duckie because she’s already more well-known than Jasmine (outside of the fashion industry) and on social media so it would be a huge win for both her and VS. Lameka is just BEYOND boring, gorgeous but just a yawn fest, tbh she’s so forgettable I can’t even remember her walking in the last two shows... People always say Lais is boring but I find her “boringness” to be more soft, sensual and beautifully innocent in a way, kinda like Doutzen. A silent sex bomb

The wings these past few years have been very meh and mediocre to say the least, they’re not as fun or exciting as they used to be, probably because they turn every fucking look into a look with wings to make all the girls happy 🙄 gone are the days when segments had like 3-4 wings max and they always stood out! wings from the past three shows look like arts and crafts designs

angelashley94 is literally a catfish psychopath. She was active on fashionspot for a while too amd was spreading all these bizarre lies about models (mainly Maria Borges, Vittoria Ceretti & Karlie Kloss) and would say that she was Karlie Kloss’s cousin from Chicago despite Karlie only having been born there because Karlie’s whole family is based in St Louis lmaooo and we found out she was using this really pretty girl’s pictures on Instagram and we ended up finding her real Instagram because she forgot to crop out her username in a screenshot turns out she’s just a grown ass white girl from Long Island. Just beyond creepy and unsettling. Like sis, who you tryna to impress? lmao

I would love for Ariana, Drake and a K-pop group to perform this year. 3 performers are more than enough and they each fit the criteria of pop, r&b/rap/hip-hop and international music that would attract many viewers but I could imagine all of em being unavailable or too expensive for VS but wishful thinking lol

Agreed. She’s a terrible performer live so they’re better off not wasting their money on her and just remix one of her songs instead..

Greek Goddesses was the closest to Greek Mytholgoy will get but I would love to see a segement with looks based on Greek Heroes and Greek monsters like Medusa or something lol just not made tacky of course and omg I’m so down for a soca/Caribbean artist performing one day! Even a dancehall or reggae singer would be ICONIC! But I still have hope for Rihanna being the first to perform that since her next album will be heavily Caribbean based
