Agreed about 2008 being underrated. The hair, the makeup, the glamour...this by far was IMO the last glamorous and sexiest show VS has ever made. It was perfection to me even though I didn’t care for the stage/runway, I actually liked the concept overtime. 2007, 2009, and 2015 are by far the WORST shows ever. But imo, 2015 takes the cake. Everything about that show was a mess from the recycled outfits, the awful music, recycled segments and cheap costumes. Ughh 2013 was not that bad oh please. That was probably the last good VS show imo that was well produced, I also thought the 2014 show wasn’t so bad either. Segments were fresh and different and the costumes were gorgeous (excluding Exotic Traveller...)

Nah they did that last year and everything was complete trash. So I rather not wait till last minute to see things. Give me the sketches, give me the themes, the fitting videos and sneak peaks but in small doses.

A Renaissance segment, Roaring 20s/Great Gatsby segment, Royalty segment, Fire Angels/all-red segment would be really awesome but once again we’ll get a recycled all white/snow and colorful cultural clusterfuck segment...thank you Sophia.

I’m not a fan of Cardi but I already called this! I don’t mind her performing since she has a lot of decent and catchy songs that are perfect for the runway, also if she performs the ratings will sky rocket that’s for sure. VS needs the publicity so I can see them using it to their benefit.

Exactly! That’s why I thought the sketch was real! It’s so reminiscent of be times when they weren’t afraid to show skin and the outfits were more centered around actual lingerie.

Not that I’m aware of...from what I’ve read Carmen Kass, Naomi Campbell, Liya Kebede, Oluchi Onweagba, Ana Beatriz Barrios, Isabeli Fontana, Edita Vilkevičiūtė and Maryna Linchuk (I know I’m missing more in the top of my head but I can’t remember) all turned down Angel contracts.

It is a thing. You know Sophia thinks she’s into something with this segment but like everything she hashes out, it’ll be garbage. I just hope I get to die in peace before VS axes her and replaces the whole creative team while they’re at it.

Agreed. I always believed when they introduced the 10 Angels it’s shouldve been Lais and Joan. No disrespect to Jasmine but Joan has such amazing presence on and off the runway and would’ve made a perfect Angel...her resume is superb but I doubt she would’ve wanted to be held back by VS. She’s one of the most successful models of color in the industry. What I find interesting about Jasmine is that she’s probably the only black model...well, model of color that has NEVER spoken about the issues models of color face in the industry compared to other models. Unless she doesn’t experience them herself or something but that always caught my attention

I love Jasmine, not my fave angel because I didn’t have a pleasant experience with her but I think she’s a good model but defintely doesn’t have a presence like her predecessors like Tyra and Selita. But I do hope she gets to open a segment this year. She and Martha are the only angels who havent opened a segment yet...

Personally, I think Leomie and maybe even Mélie and Duckie (if she kills it) would make much better Angels than Lameka or Jasmine for that matter lol despite being a WoC, Jasmine blends too easily with the rest of the Angels in photoshoots that it almost makes it seem like she’s just a white girl dipped in chocolate. Also almost everyone in the YouTube comments always says she looks exactly the same like e other girls just with darker skin. She has a strong walk but considering her reputation for being a mean girl and being relatively unknown outside of VS nowadays (she used to have such a strong HF presence before), I wouldn’t mind her being replaced by another token black Angel lol Leomie based on seniorship and Duckie because she’s already more well-known than Jasmine (outside of the fashion industry) and on social media so it would be a huge win for both her and VS. Lameka is just BEYOND boring, gorgeous but just a yawn fest, tbh she’s so forgettable I can’t even remember her walking in the last two shows... People always say Lais is boring but I find her “boringness” to be more soft, sensual and beautifully innocent in a way, kinda like Doutzen. A silent sex bomb

The wings these past few years have been very meh and mediocre to say the least, they’re not as fun or exciting as they used to be, probably because they turn every fucking look into a look with wings to make all the girls happy 🙄 gone are the days when segments had like 3-4 wings max and they always stood out! wings from the past three shows look like arts and crafts designs
