From my understanding, I believe it was mostly HF models that were REALLY pissed about what that pathetic excuse of a model said and also Leomie Anderson, Mayowa Nichols, Yasmin Wijnaldum made comments about her as well and called her out on social media. I’m not sure who else, but if she’s truly casted this year, VS should really rethink that decision or a storm is about to brew backstage and with the press. I’m so disappointed, once again another year where the attention will be taken away from the FB, the most fabulous line up we’ve had in years (minus Sadie and Winnie) and will be overpowered by Kendull’s ingrateful presence. Kris Jenner is truly the Devil lmao.

Exactly. Like you said, this is nearly 60 models walking and they’ll be together longer than usual (days and hours) leading up to the show. She’ll definitely get some hate, not necessarily upfront but I can’t imagine anyone being nice to her after that shitty comment she made (except the Hadids and Winnie’s ass kissing self). or someone spits or puts out a cig in her drink. Call me mean, but I could care less about Candle Janitor and her shitty “I’m too good for this industry” attitude. Over it.

I’m disappointed but not surprised. I was really hoping to just see the Hadids this year since they both grew on me and don’t irk me as much as Kendull, she’s an unappreciative brat who didn’t have to work for shit and gets everything handed for her. Also, I was really hoping this year’s show would finally focus on the amazing models in the lineup (esp the new ones) that are walking this year instead of the same damn nepo girls. If this is true, I can’t even begin to imagine the backlash Kendall is gonna get backstage after all that shit talked she’s probably the most hated model in the industry by other models.

Because of her contract with La Perla forbid her from walking VS.

Since VS commented under that post...does anyone else believe the FB may have actually gone to Behati? Or that doesn’t really mean much. If anything, I bet my money Martha (she’s been quiet as a mouse for far too long), Taylor or even Elsa probably got the FB. But knowing VS, they’ll surprise us and give it to Martha (I still it’s her).

Disregard sis, I misread the article. It was fans on the ShadeRoom commenting saying she didn’t make it because she was black after she left an “inspiring” IG post saying how not give up on your dreams blah blah blah

Speaking of pathetic, did you guys hear that Jasmine Sanders called out VS for being racist since she wasn’t casted...again? sis is not even fully black yet Grace Bol, Leomie Anderson, Duckie Thot and other black/darker skinned models were casted. That’s the biggest reach ever, you’re not a good model honey, just a pretty face with sour grapes.

I honestly couldn’t agree more. The makeup alone can make up for shitty outfits and terrible walks because the girls will actually look like supermodels and not the same “washed out, boring girl next door, let’s have a slumber party and text our crushes teenagers” 😷 even if it isn’t as glamourous as the 2008 show, Charlotte’s “plain/natural” makeup looks are still 100x far more superior and bombshell like than anything VS has put on the models faces for the past few years. I’m so excited to see the return of the “glamazon” VS Angel that made VS what it is. Let’s just hope the hair is on point too... do we know whos doing the hair this year?

I think everyone is overreacting about the sketch. It honestly doesn’t look that bad let’s just hope it correlates well on the runway and let’s the actual outfit first too before we judge because I highly doubt it would even look the same...also, the back is clearly not wings but concept art part of the sketch. I don’t mind the collab because that means this will most likely be the only colourful segment of the show and most likely no cultural segments so I’m not even mad. I’m so hyped this year, best lineup (except Sadie), show is back in NYC and it’s the best makeup artist VS has ever had in a loooong time nothing can bring me down for this year’s show

YESSS! I REALLY HOPE SHE REPEATS THE MAKEUP FROM THE 2008 SHOW! IMO THAY WAS THE BEST SHOW FOR HAIR AND MAKEUP

The show is less than a month away and we don’t know the themes and segments, who has the FB/SO/SW, performers etc etc. I’m getting really anxious now..

SIS THAT WOULD BE AMAZING OMG that’s such a unique and different idea, I love it! It would be a great opening segment too! I’m already picturing all my fave models and angels walking in this segment

Sophia needs to stop playing and just become Head CEO of Party City, like gurl byeee.

I get so angry seeing all these amazing ideas for segments because we ALL know the outcome will be Sophia giving us another rehash of the same sexy nomadic colorfully retarded travelling adventurist cultural segment and a bunch of other recycled segments that we think are new for a good 5 mins but they end up being the exact ones we’ve all seen before with just a different name 🙄 don’t get your hopes up high y’all.

What do you mean someone who hasn’t hadn’t anything big yet? Taylor got to open a segment, Romee got to both close and open a segment and Sara got to open a segment as well. Unless you mean the SO specifically, I can see it going to Jasmine or maybe VS will surprise us and give it to a regular model again.

Didn’t I tell all of y’all that the performers would be Drake and Cardi B? 🙄 makes sense tbh and the third performer will most likely be Miley. But I guess we’ll wait and see till they announce it themselves sometime next week. Also i really don’t mind Cardi or Drake performing only because we haven’t had a rapper/hip hop/r&b artist perform in a while and their music almost always correlates well on the runway.

Agreed. Also it doesn’t help that she has such a nasty mean girl personality. I don’t see the appeal of her at all. She’s beautiful but that’s it?

Well every single show they’ve done in NYC since the beginning has always been held at the Armory so I can’t see them changing the venue elsewhere in NY for any reason at all.

They didn’t make a big deal about Candice’s return last year. It was just the hyping up of her opening the show and it was left at that so I can’t imagine Bee getting something bigger than that.

YES! YES! YES! Florence & The Machine would be AMAZING for VSFS!

Maroon 5 and Miley Are so irrelevant in the music industry it’ll be a joke if they chose them as performers this year. I remember last year’s show was being ROASTED all over Twitter because no one knew the performers (with the exception of Harry Styles of course and Asian/Chinese fans knowing Jane Zhang). People were saying if you’re not gonna pick well-known artists, just bring back the remixes with at least 2 performers at this point. It’s embarassing. side-note, Cardi B and Ariana Grande would make good performers and will bring the publicity VS desperately needs for their show. Both have successful albums out atm and they’re the most talked about female musicians in the industry rn. Also, I just really want Ariana to sing “God is A Woman” to Candice opening a segment

Still waiting for the day VS hires Hayden Williams to be part of their creative team and make sketches for the show...his work is amazing! He’s alresdy worked with Disney, MGA (Bratz dolls), Rihanna, Zendaya, Rimmel London, Gigi Hadid x Tommy Hillfiger, etc etc looking at these is giving hope we’ll have another holiday segment again sometime in the future
  23. Andrew Van Der Hypp replied to Clauds's post in a topic in 2018
Let’s just hope this will be the ONLY colorfully messiest and tackiest segment in the show and fingers crossed for no cultural segment this year

Agreed. I LOVED the models/Angels energy that year, it was such a sharp contrast to what we were normally used to seeing during the runway previous years. I love how the model’s really pumped up the crowd and kept everyone engaged. Also, they all had fierce walks and looked like glamazons. I wouldn’t mind seeing a show like that again tbh

I respectfully disagree, 2012 seemed a bit too “costumey” imo but like you said about the focus on couture and showmanship, they defintely nailed that department. 2013 seemed more like an actual fashion show but I did honk it was a HUGE bore. Very slow paced and I agree about whoever said it (the stage & runway) was too “brightly” lit.
