  1. Generally, the longer a show lasts, the more chances it has to disappoint at least some of the viewers. Some shows avoid this and some don't.
  2. Good Dumb and Dumber
  3. Yummy Caviar
  4. ^^ That makes a lot of sense.

^^ There are many videos like that. Americans do not know geography.
  6. That seems right, but I only have Emilia Clarke's version of her to base that on. Good dragon. Wish I had artistic skills like that.
  7. ^^ Too masculine for me.

WW has become the 27th movie to pass 400 million in the US. However, it's only the 23rd movie to achieve the feat in its initial run. The other movies passed 400 million in a 2nd or 3rd release.
  9. To be clear the question and the idea that people are not open to changing the way they see things were not mine. The question was asked by someone else and the premise was formed through that person's view of things. I'm not sure I feel confident that I know or have met enough people to definitively state that I don't think people change their minds with regularity. I do believe you mentioned to two most likely avenues for changing how one views the world: 1) Education / Knowledge 2) Dramatic or traumatizing life experience (positive or negative).

  11. You don't agree that people don't change their minds on things? or something else? This reminded me of something Ricky Gervais says. I don't recall the details but his opinion is, whether you believe in God or not, we are all agnostic.
  12. Well, if they are idiots, it would seem possible. I remember watching an extensive, nuanced explanation of the complicated relationship between the United States, China, and North Korea. There is no way I can remember it all since it's been a few months, but many of the things the guy said would be a bad idea are exactly what is happening now. International diplomacy is a complicated and nuanced endeavor, and there seems to be little to no nuance right now as far as I can tell.

I think it could be difficult. I think The Hobbit movies were the end. Do you believe the human race will ever be capable of removing the idea of borders from the world?
  14. Good movie Airplane! ?
  15. Good stuff, as always
  16. One of the funny moments from the last episode was during the fight when the Dothraki warrior said to Tyrion "You're people can't fight" It's funny either way, but has Tyrion shown any signs of understanding the Dothraki language? It's funny if the warrior says it knowing he understands or knowing he doesn't, but I couldn't remember Tyrion showing that he understands yet.
  17. I went back and looked. All the gold made it in the city. Look like most of the food was destroyed, though.
  18. When Bronn and Jaime were talking before the fight didn't they say the gold was in the city, but the rest of the food and men wouldn't get in the city by nightfall? I'm not sure I remember that correctly. It's still crazy to me that the season is over the halfway point. A seven episode season goes quickly.

    Somewhere else DC or Marvel?

Fixed Here it is a second time so it's at the bottom of the thread: If there were alternate universe versions of you, do you believe they would they be better or worse than you?
  21. Feel free to share one or more. I did not think many people would be able to remember having had a change of heart or mind as it seems like a rare thing to happen. I have not been able to think of one yet. I have thought of a few times when I didn't have a strong opinion on something but after gaining knowledge I understood which side was right. That's not really the same thing, though.
