Great playing by Kerber. Can't forget how impressive a performance Serena had in only her fourth tournament back.

I assume the third-place match comes from the idea of the Olympic Bronze medal match, but there are no bronze medals in the World Cup, right. It's not needed, but they won't get rid of it because of money. For a player, it has to be hard to get excited about it after missing out on the final.

^^ I don't know why people said the Isner/Anderson match was exciting. It was boring. I think I saw a stat that said the average number of strokes per point in that match was a little above 2. No rallies at all. I know Djokovic can break Anderson, and I hope he does it early.

^^ That would have been great, but sometimes you get unlucky with the draw. Of course, if Roger had beaten Anderson it could have still been a good final.

It's the first time in a while HBO doesn't get the most nominations. It's probably not a fair comparison since Netflix has so many shows, but it's something new. I was pleased with a number of nominations for shows/actors I like.
