I was mostly kidding, but you're right, nostalgia seemed to win here. I just thought she might not win because there tends to be a pattern of a particular model winning regularly, and then a new model starts winning. I thought we might be done with her. It's faulty logic on my part as any comp that looks back would be less likely to follow that trend.

I'm legitimately disappointed by the winner. I thought, and hoped, we were done with her winning.

^ I always try to see things fresh. I avoid reading individual reviews and, if possible, avoid seeing the rotten tomatoes or metacritic aggregate numbers.

^ It's possible to hear anything, maybe true, maybe not. Guessing at people's motives is impossible really. I read a few reviews and two common themes among the negative reviews were: 1. Concern that the movie would encourage violence, with some mentioning the shooting at a showing of The Dark Knight. I think that concern doesn't make a lot of sense, but it definitely shouldn't impact whether a reviewer thinks the movie is good or not. 3. Saying for example about the psychological aspects of the movie, the movie tried to be Taxi Driver, but failed. Most movies fail at being Taxi Driver, it's really good. 2. A more realistic complaint I saw was that it was nothing new. It's true that the movie is not groundbreaking, but how many movies are. Doing something complete new is essentially impossible.

That's true of almost everyone really, and certainly companies. (also me if I ever had money as an option) For example, it's the reason the US, UK and everyone else have avoided really confronting Saudi Arabia for the last 50-60 years.
