The civilians at the Mazar-i-Sharif Airport are fleeing the country and fear for their lives. Blinken wants valid travel documents! The Biden Administration’s disregard for human life is appalling. There are from six to ten private planes at the Mazar-i-Sharif airport ready to evacuate Americans and American allies from northern Afghanistan. As reported earlier, several retired Special Forces and US Veterans traveled to Afghanistan to rescue and bring the people Americans home that Joe Biden left stranded. During the first phase of their mission, they were able to help almost 700 US citizens and allies get to their evacuation flights at the airport safely. The special operators used their contacts in and outside of Afghanistan to transport people safely and even worked with US troops on the ground who had to disobey orders to help the rogue rescue effort. Our retired soldiers care more about trapped Americans than the current Commander in Chief who told active forces on the ground to “stand down.” The American heroes reportedly have 6 chartered airplanes (4 737’s and 2 others) on the Tarmac in northern Afghanistan with the people rescued and can’t get the administration’s help. The planes cannot take off unless the Taliban clears them which can easily be handled with a telephone call. Our heroes and the people they rescued are sitting ducks. It’s only a matter of time before they’re targeted. Emily Miller is in direct contact and has the information on her substack page. Dave and I have been talking daily about the Americans waiting in the airport for those planes to get permission to leave. I told Dave yesterday that the planes weren’t moving (read Friday update), and he thought they would. This is what he texted me today: Well your guy was right. We kept getting told we would fly out today but they just told us definitely not. Planning for resumption of flights tomorrow or Sunday. Taliban cooperating. I asked Dave about the people waiting for seven days in the airport: The waiting is horrible. And no one is being told anything. And the conditions are terrible. Sleeping on hard floors and people are hungry. But, you know, Taliban are actually cooperating. The only ones they are giving a hard time to are former Afghan govt leadership. Day before yesterday they came in and arrested a former official. But everyone else they have left alone. With there already being internal fighting between Taliban leadership, Afghanistan bankrupt, inflation 80%, people starving; etc.; TB know they need legitimization and foreign aid. As if leaving Americans and Afghani’s behind wasn’t bad enough, the administration is now effectively abandoning those who are putting their lives in danger to bring our people home. The bottom line is that we have people stranded there and could be killed at any time. Our government has already failed in its most basic and fundamental responsibility to protect Americans. The US military knew there was going to be an attack at the Kabul Airport last week. On Wednesday, August 25th the US State Department issued a warning to US nationals to avoid traveling to Hamid Karzai Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. The US told those waiting outside to leave immediately. On Thursday, August 26th a suicide bomber blew himself up near the Abbey Gate at the Kabul Airport killing 13 Americans: 11 US Marines, a Navy Hospitalman, and an Army Staff Sgt. Following the attack, one Marine wrote a text message to The Raid Team. The Marine who was on the scene disclosed that there was a countdown before the suicide bomber detonated himself. The Taliban allowed the bomber to get through the perimeter. The Marines did not allow the bomber to get through the inside perimeter. He was outside the gate when he detonated his explosive vest by the crowded Abbey Gate at the Kabul Airport. According to our source, there were also reports of Marines who saw the Taliban laughing after the deadly blast. On Friday we spoke with Caz, the CEO of The Raid Team Co. Caz told us he was a member of the 2nd Bn 1st Marines for over 8 years. The current unit was comprised of young men. Caz has agreed to speak to us more on Sunday following the vigil for the men and women this weekend. Caz is also very interested in helping those who suffer mental health issues especially those coming back home from war.
