    So the process was once I was ready to shoot I would shoot a polaroid of the scene to get a feel for it. Now days of course I just glance in the screen on the back of my Canon as we all do.

    And this is the size of the new Polaroid. They used to be very large or have adaptors for real cameras though the new version like everything else in the world is a small fraction of the size it used to be. And for those waiting the finalist in Take Your Best Shot in ‘Close Up’ category sorry for the delay in posting them. There is a lot to go through..

    And then of course there is just Candice-what a year she has had. This was the last frame on the last shot of the last day of shooting before heading to Australia for a short break. Hoping New York defrosts a bit before I return to work in the new year. And I think the message in this expression by Candice is ‘Bring on 2011, I’m ready’. Though more likely it was “Russell stop messing with your toys and shoot the last damned shot already’

    So I have a new colleague whose last name is Swanepoel. Not that uncommon surname in Flanders. What is confusing is that her first name is Catherine.

    Our email address format is "first letter of the first name - dot - surname" @ domain name. So in her case it's [email protected].

    I grin like an idiot whenever I send her an email. :p
