Very early days I know, but this is all sounding rather exciting so far. Lawrence, Page, McAvoy and Fassbender confirmed, and Singer returning to the director's chair.

It's one of my 'guilty pleasures' in film. I recently saw this again for the first time in a couple of years. It's probably my fourth full viewing since 2001, and, in my attempts to figure out the puzzle that is 'Hannibal', I've rewatched bits and pieces of it many times. Why do I say 'Guilty pleasure'? Unlike the excellent 'Silence of the Lambs' (4.5/5), it was critically panned. It confused, repelled, and polarized people. And even I would admit that it was definitely a film that was composed of parts that were stronger than itself as a composite whole. In retrospect, I believe that- like Ridley Scott's 'Bladerunner'....'Hannibal' was unfairly judged after its re…

A pilot with a substance-abuse problem has to land a crippled airliner in this Robert Zemeckis-directed drama for Paramount Pictures. Real Steel's John Gatins provides the script. Denzel Washington heads up a cast that includes The Hurt Locker's Brian Geraghty, along with John Goodman and Don Cheadle. This movie was amazing!!! One of Denzel's FINEST performances to date. The previews lead you to believe the movie will be more about Denzel being a troubled hero. But without giving away too many spoilers, his addiction to alcohol and dependency on drugs is portrayed so phenomenally in this movie. Denzel's character is truly despicable but charismatically and dark-horse hil…

From the writer of Training Day, End of Watch is a riveting action thriller that puts audiences at the center of the chase like never before. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña star as young LA police officers who discover a secret that makes them the target of the country's most dangerous drug cartel. [Just watched this today. What a charismatic and charming film. Also hilarious. Gyllenhaal and Pena have such great chemistry, also fast moving and very creative.

So I thought it might be a good idea to start a topic in which movies that are or will be currently in theater will be discussed. I go to the movies a lot, and sometimes I wish I didn't spend my money on a particular film, or fall completely in love with a movie on dvd later and wish I had seen it on the big screen! I think it could be nice to read people's opinion on whether something was a good movie or not, and it can also help people not missing any good ones! I'm going again today, and I'm down to two choices: - Ted - The Dark Knight Rises (again, but I don't care ) I have no idea whether people will use this or not, but before/if anyone starts posting: Give a…
