So, so many these past few years... So how long with this trend last? Are we at a peak or is there room to go? It looks like it got wings after the success of the X-men and Nolan Batman series in the late 2000s. That was the catalyst.

It's been three years since Mike Lane's (Channing Tatum) retirement from stripping, but the former dancer misses the excitement and feeling of being on stage. Most of all, though, he misses the best friends that he ever had, the crew known as the Kings of Tampa. I was so impressed by this movie that I simply had to start a thread. DC Comics put out a graphic novel in the mid eighties and this movie is based on that comic. While the story line deviates from the comics, it definitely captures the spirit. If you like great writing, intelligent storytelling, intense action, and wonderful acting...you'll love this movie.
