Lolita Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 In recent years runway models are stick thin. Spain, Italy and Isreal want to see curvier models. Do you think the runway models will change and become curvier or will the designers pick curvier models next year? Quote
Strawberry BigMac Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 from where fashion is right now i really really don't think so...and it sucks! ever since kate moss it has gone down hill. Quote
rouge red Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Well.... not in this year, but I think in a better time - 5-10 years on - maybe slim and healthy girls will be the main model again Quote
*ohsoglam* Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I don't think so but maybe in a couple years. Quote
ninanina19 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I don't see the appeal of girls like Stam and Sasha in clothes. I just dislike the way they wear the clothes. They make good clothes seem blah. Vlada is okay because her face is so cute. But anyway I hate skinny models. Like slim like Caroline T. is okay. I love Caroline T.'s body. And Lily Cole's. Oh and Heather Mark's and Jeisa's as well. Prettyphile Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I would hope so, however nothing's going to change anytime soon. I blame the... "Couture Houses" Quote
ninanina19 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I don't understand why they don't just not pick sick looking girls. Like even waifs liek Gemma are okay. Just not like Vlada skinny. Quote
ninanina19 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Just so they look like normal skinny girls. Quote
Nemeside Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 of course noclothes look good on thin models and they care just how to sell them, so Quote
ninanina19 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Model demands change all the time. I don't see why it can't happen within the next 2-3 years. Quote
ninanina19 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Actually different clothes look good on different women. And no clothing looks good on anorexic women like Vlada and others. Clothing looks best on well-proportioned women on the slim side. Quote
Nemeside Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 sorry but no, clothes don't look better on fuller women than on slimmer that's why designers choose such models as Vlada and Snejanait's bad what could we do, even Heidi is 'too fat' for runway Quote
ninanina19 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 That's stupid. Some clothes do look better on fuller women. Anorexic women don't look good in ANYTHING. Show me clothes they do look good in. Rebecca Romijn looks incredible in everything she wears yet she's not stick thin. Quote
ninanina19 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 WOmen with small waists in comaprisn to their hips, long legs that aren't stick thin yet lean and athletic like Gisele's look best in clothes. Caroline T. is a perfect example which is why she makes the perfect runway model. Quote
SaBrIaNa Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 maybe when they start to realize that girls are dying of anorxia.. Quote
chick style Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 well i think yes.. because there are a lot of models with anorexia and it wouldn't be healthy for a girl to be so skinny Quote
Yannick Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I don't know in American fashion shows i would say yesBut like in the Milan,Paris fashion shows i think i will take a while before the anorexic models wil be replaced by curvier models Quote
