Well, I imagine if she does Angels & Demons she'll get plenty of exposure, and more movie roles.

To be honest with you I don't want her to do a big part at some movie... simply because (I think I've said this before) the critics are really harsh on models who become actresses. I mean, even if the performance is better than the expected... who on earth is going to pay attention to it if Gisele shows up on the screen in a sexy (or not) outfit??

im shocked she left vs

i hope she doesnt try to get too into the movie industry, cuz your right, they are harsh on models turned actresses,

i hope this isnt the beginning of the end for gisele! :(

vs made her so popular, i mean she still has the name she made for herself, but now shell just be in campaigns?

Noooooo!!! Gisele was the best. None of the girls are hotter than her!!! I am boycotting the show (unless Jeisa's in it again).

agree on that model/actress thing. It´s really annoying...like they watch the movie, follow EVERY step she makes and tell theirselves "look at her, a model trying to be actress? Look at that and that, that´s so bad...she´s damn bad actress...." but frankly, is Jessica Alba any better? And she calls herself an actress... I knoow, she was great in Dark Angel, but now? Maybe she needs a big role. It was just an example, I like her though ;) actually there are much more bad actresses in the Hollywood than models

of course they are many bad actors/actresses, but the thing is that people are mean!!! they don't want supermodels to become actresses, because they think that they're only charisma/talent is their beauty!

I really wonder who the "five new beautiful girls" are that are lined up to replace her. I read the article on two separate news outlet sites and it appears to be true. It'll just be interesting to see which "new" girls they are. :idk:

The changing of the guard, as they say, I guess.

she deserves much better things than VS...I gotta admit that I loved her pics but I think (in my opinion) it's good that she left but she still has time to finish the contract..it's not the end of the world but if she feels good about leaving VS...then we should support her in her decisions...it might not be the best decision ever but she's smart and she knows pretty well what she's doing, give Gisele some credits...she deserves them.

Here is a version of the news with comments from Victoria's Secret:

NEW YORK - It's over for Gisele Bundchen and Victoria's Secret.

"The long and fruitful relationship between Gisele Bundchen and Victoria's Secret has reached a conclusion," the lingerie brand's CEO, Edward Razek, said Tuesday in a statement.

"We wish her all the best and thank her for her extraordinary work. She will continue to be a very visible part of the world's sexiest brand through the remainder of the year."

No further details were provided.

Bundchen, 26, is among the most famous supermodels in the world, strutting international catwalks and appearing in print and TV ads for Victoria's Secret and other fashion labels.

She's also known for her high-profile relationships with Leonardo DiCaprio and New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady.

Did I just violate some rule/law by posting it here (according to the above paragraph)????? If I did, let me know so I can go into hiding. :ninja:

They'll probably continue to use her pics for quite a while, she just won't be shooting any new ones. Im mean they're still using some of Stephanie Seymour's in the catalogues and some of Alessandra's from like 2000!

the most intelligent sentence in this forum so far.

 it's truth summed up in one sentence.

:woot: This has made my day, it's definetly official if Ed said this. I am sooooo happy :woot: Finally dunzo with the commercial, yes, drop back and slide into high fashion time. I much prefer Gisele in an YSL advertisement than a VS one.

:( :(

Awe, don't be sad, look at it this way, it least now she'll have greater opportunities to do other things than to be constantly committed to Victoria. We'll see her more probably on different things than the same old VS. :p Cheer up!

aww thanks sweetie  It's just that there were so many promotion stuff with VS and we always had the chance to see an interview of her or something... now it'll only be in photos! anyway, time for new things to come!
