VIVO connects to Brazil for further 8-year sponsorship

January 12 - Telecom brand VIVO, part of Telefônica Brasil, has renewed its sponsorship with the Brazilian national teams for another eight years. The partnership has existed since 2004 and incorporates both male and female teams.

The last deal signed by VIVO was estimated at being worth $40 million. No value has been announced for the renewal of the sponsorship.

The agreement covers distribution of multimedia content through mobile telephones, as well as placing the VIVO brand on team training gear and team transportation. VIVO may also sign publicity pieces as an official sponsor.

VIVO is publicising its partnership by having a celebrity model, Gisele Bündchen, star in a 30-second film. The advertisement has Bündchen use a new mobile phone to download videos of a Brazil game whilst wearing a national team shirt with the VIVO signature splayed across it.

VIVO is the largest telecommunications company in Brazil. The name of the company translates as "alive", which is very much in theme with the Brazilian football ethos and culture, if not the recent performances of the men's team.

Gisele Bündchen Retiring From Runway: Supermodel Will Walk in Final Show During São Paulo Fashion Week

Gisele Bündchen is officially turning in her catwalk heels.
After 20 (!) years as a runway model, the 34-year-old star will kiss the catwalk goodbye at São Paulo Fashion Week in April, where she will strut her stuff in the Colcci show—a Brazilian fashion company for which she has appeared in multiple campaigns and has a longstanding relationship with the brand.
News of Gisele's runway retirement was first reported by Moda Estadão.
The 34-year-old star, who has certainly cemented her place as an iconic supermodel, said it was her dream to finish walking the runway in Brazil, her native country.

Bündchen's final show will be April 20 in São Paulo, where she will model fashions from Colcci's summer 2016 collection.
It's important to note that the Brazilian beauty is not giving up her modeling career—she still plans to participate in campaigns and fashion spreads, although she will no longer grace the runway.
Tom Brady's missus, who was world's highest-paid models from 2013-2014—a title which she's held for a whopping eight years in a row—has decreased her runway presence in recent years, although she appeared in Chanel's spring 2015 fashion show back in September.
In November, Bündchen also walked in the Colcci show as part of São Paulo Fashion Week Winter 2015, and clearly, the brand is a favorite of the beauty's, as she posed for one of the company's campaigns back in 2010, just six-and-a-half weeks after she gave birth to her first child, son Benjamin.

Us Weekly: Gisele Bundchen Retiring From Runway, Will Walk Final Show During Sao Paulo Fashion Week:

End of an era! Gisele Bundchen  is retiring from the runway, Brazilian newspaper Moda Estadao reported on Friday, March 13. The supermodel, 34, has been strutting her stuff for over 20 years and will walk her final show during Sao Paulo Fashion Week, which kicks off April 13th.

The Brazilian beauty, who is mom to kids Benjamin and Vivian and stepmom to Jack with husband Tom Brady, reportedly will end her catwalk career on April 20th at the Colcci show, a Brazilian brand she’s fronted campaigns for and walked for numerous times, including their most recent show this past November.

The former Victoria’s Secret model, who retired her Angel wings in 2007 and has been crowned the world’s highest-paid model for the past eight years, isn’t calling it quits entirely though. Bundchen will still model for her numerous contracts including Under Armour and Chanel.

n a recent interview with the Sunday Express the model said she couldn’t imagine not working. “Modeling has been good to me and I plan to enjoy it and take any opportunity that comes along,” she said in August 2014.

Gosh its really an end of an era. :p She is one of the last great catwalkers. Alot of the new girls just do not have anywhere near as good a presence or walk. The fashion industry gets more depressing everyday.

but as long as she does campaigns and covers (which she mainly only did anyways) I'm happy. She will still slay as she sits at home in Boston getting calls to rep Chanel No. 5. :p She is the Boss!

runway has always been her least fave modeling assignment anyways. She has always said she prefers photoshoots. (more slow paced and intimate).

(Some people aren't believing the news so I'm posting this article, where Colcci has confirmed it to be true).

Gisele Bündchen will do the last show of  career in Fashion Week, reports Colcci.

Top gives goodbye to the catwalks in summer 2016 fashion show of the brand, which will be held next April

Watch the next show of Colcci in São Paulo Fashion Week will witness a historic moment of Brazilian fashion: a farewell to Gisele Bundchen on the catwalks. In the year that she celebrates 20 years of career, the Brazilian top prepares to cross the last time on the catwalk . - time that, by her will, could only happen in Brazil, as reported by Colcci. Gisele is the face (and body) of the Santa Catarina designer for eight years with brief pauses in seasons when pregnant (when it was "replaced" by the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart and Erin Heatherton), and accumulated miles of walkways in both São Paulo and Rio. After the goodbye, the model will be dedicated exclusively to editorial, national and international campaigns.

I'm surprised.

It's hard to believe Gisele is retiring from de catwalk. Everyone gets nervous or anxious during São Paulo Fashion Week expecting Gisele's appearance.

I imagine she will not travel a lot to Brazil. :idk:

According to Lilian Pacce, Mario Testino will shoot Colcci's campaign.
