I'm sorry but Gisele is the only one everyone & their mammas in the US know, might be because she is 'the last supermodel', might be because she is married to the most popular football player, whatever the reason is Gisele is more popular & while not everyone knows her at least they know who she is. Gisele says anything & it goes to the news, she's the only relevant model for average people right now

Followed by Adriana, who is not as big as Gisele but people do know her name & can recognize her face, mostly because while she doesn't work as much as Gisele when she does something, it's something big like the two Super Bowl commercials. Then there's Miranda but she is known as 'Bloom's wife', i think she & Ale are right in the same level when it comes to popularity

Also, everyone needs to watch out, wanna know who's making it happen? Kate Upton is making it happen, girlfriend is more popular than all the VS girls together these days.

^I know what you mean. Gisele owns Brazil. But Ale/Adriana/Isabeli and most of the Brazillian models I imagine are popular there too.

I honestly think Adriana is the most popular out of the current angels I'll admit Miranda is gaining on her little bit and as for Ale back in her earlier days she very popular her and Adriana where pretty much head to head in terms of popularity in those days but now it seems no one cares for her that much even if she shows up to all the events and calls the paparazzi every chance she gets sad but true. The other angels aren't really as popularity as they should be especially Candice since VS goes way and beyond to push her more than I've seen them push any model before.

Miranda did Chelsea Lately last year & Alessandra is going this year. The reason why Erin & Candice can't go to big Tv shows it's because they're not famous enough, who would tune to a channel to see a girl you don't know who it is?

Say whatever you want but there's a reason why Adriana doesn't do half as PR as Heidi or Gisele did while having the exact same position she has right now in VS. She's great with the fans & she gets those events full of people, she should be the one we see in all the talk shows, but she's not.

I think you'd have to be into the fashion/model world for everyone to know who Gisele is. People who don't give af about vs nor the fashion world still know who adriana is. Ask someone who isn't into fashion if they know who Gisele is, they probably won't. That's Kate moss you're thinking about. But Kate isn't brazilian. So overall I won't say adriana is the most popular brazilian but I wouldn't flat out say everyone knows who Gisele is. If you google "brazilian girl" adriana is the first brazilian model to pop up on the images she is also the first one to come up if you google brazilian model.

Gisele is def one of the best models, if not the best out there. But everyone who knows Gisele knows who models like adriana and ale are. But not everyone who knows of adriana knows who Gisele is.

googling brazilian girl has nothing to do with who is best known? If anything people outside of fashion are more inclined to know who gisele is just by name. Not saying they have to be into her or her career or even care about her, but gisele bundchen's name is associated with the status of a supermodel. I think it's the opposite. People who know who Adriana is without a doubt will know who Gisele is. People who know who gisele is don't all know who Adriana is. Some people that know who gisele is couldn't even name 3 high fashion brands.

In the large scope of things, when considering hollywood celebrities and people on the big screen, gisele is still recognizable just by name.

but i guess we've had this conversation one too many times and it is redundant, to each their own then

I have always wondered Adriana's popularity in the US but especially Brazil! thanks for clearing that up. And yes Turkey is definitly her spot. I saw her everywhere when I was on vacation last summer.

I also don't think she has worked with Terry before O_o too bad.

Agencies can only do so much for a model. Especially when you're already established. Karlie Kloss wasn't even in IMG (the biggest/best modeling agency in the world) when she hit it big. She just recently moved there and she was already a name. I think it all comes down to how good a model you are and the level of your drive.

Ale is now at DNA and she's still booking quality work. Adriana was at the same agency before she went to Marilyn but she wasn't doing much there. I think she should stay where she is for now. IMO, Marilyn is doing a great job with her. She moved there in late 2008, right? If you follow her projects from then to now, I think it's impressive. Especially the quality of it. She obviously switched agencies to land more work. But of course she's also willing to work more often too. That's the important part.

At this point, it's only wishful thinking if we want her to work more than she already is.

Also whatever project she's working on with those celebrities, only proves my point on her relevance in the US. It seems like, these days, only Adriana and Kate Upton can book (quality) work in the US. And Kate Moss.

Regarding Ale, she's actually quite known. I saw her interview with ABC news and was pleasantly surprised. She's on the same level as Miranda to me.

I'm so excited about those things she's about to do in Brazil. For many people the popularity rank here is like "Gisele, Alessandra, Isabeli, Izabel and just then Adriana", but as I said, I think IF YOU GO TO THE STREET and ask the people, Adriana will be in 2nd I would say.

And I'm really impressed with the fact that Gisele isn't as known in USA as I thought she was. I mean, here in Brazil people/press treat her like the biggest celebrity in the world, like there's no one who doesn't know her, because that's how things are here.

Also sorry for the other fans, but I won't mind if Adriana stays in Brazil for months just to work, models are getting their space on TV and etc.

I meant that while not everyone loves her, everyone knows her (Gisele) just that i was in a hurry, I know a lot of people hates her but they know her.
