The photo is of Alessandra (duh) and she from what I can remember is laying down hold one of her Ale by Alessandra hats and it shows the inside of the hat with her name in it. Sorry for the vague description, but that's all I can really remember about it. I think I saw it once on Instagram somewhere, but I've never seen it again and I really liked that photo. happy to report after years of searching, the picture came back

April 1Apr 1 I guess this comes as no surprise to anyone who’s been following Alessandra for a while, but she’s decided to shut down her bikini and swimwear brand, Gal Floripa. I say it’s no surprise because Ale hadn’t shot a new campaign for Gal Floripa in at least five or six years, and there weren’t any new designs either, I'd say that since the brand’s inception, or almost, they hadn’t released any new designs or campaigns. If anything, what surprises me is that it took her so long to decide to shut down the brand; I imagine it’s because keeping it open didn’t involve any significant expenses for her.
April 1Apr 1 It's such a crowded space and I think one of the things that made Candice's brand successful is the collaborations with other brands. I also think from a design perspective, Gal Floripa, was just a bit limited with their styles. Sadly, I don't think it was ever very successful but I think these ventures are a lot more difficult than they seem, it's not enough to be the face of your own product. In other news, it's been 6 months since she last shot something. In October she shot this, and I'm assuming it's a personal project because it should have come out already if it was fashion related.https://www.instagram.com/p/DQAngK8COWR/?img_index=1This is probably the longest I can remember in her career that she's gone without any work.I'm really disappointed in all her agencies but especially Lions which booked only 1 job the entire year. It's pretty unacceptable. She recently signed with ZZO in Paris https://zzotalents.com/talent/alessandra-ambrosio/ but I just don't know if they will actually do anything for her. I had such high hopes after she joined her old manager Richard Habberley at Perspective in London, and it seems as though it was his choice to place her with Lions/Ali in NYC and ZZO in Paris so I want to believe that there is a strategy, but the lack of bookings has me pretty concerned. It's a really disappointing time to be her fan.
April 1Apr 1 It might also be that Ale is more selective about the jobs she wants to do. She may have accumulated enough wealth over her 25+ year career and have enough passive income to where she can scale back and pick the jobs that her agency/manager offers.I doubt Ale had all her eggs in the Gal Floripa basket, so its closure probably has minimal impact to her bottom-line. On the other hand, joja didn't last nearly as long as Gal Floripa, and I believe Jasmine and Josephine had a lot more invested to see their business venture succeed. The verdict is out on Elsa's Helsa brand, but I don't think she's heavily dependent on its success since she is constantly booked for work it seems. But yeah, from a fan's point of view, I agree; I would love to see Ale do more.

That she's at the top of the modeling world and she can pick and choose. But that's what irks me. The strategy is off. If she just picked commercial jobs then no problem, but she'll do editorials for things like Schon China. I mean a model of her caliber shouldn't be shooting for Schon anywhere. Which leads me to believe that she does it because she still loves modeling for the sake of it, she genuinely enjoys the work, and she accepts the work that comes her way. My issue is why can't she get higher caliber work in the fashion world? It's clear to me that Adriana surpassed her in the fashion world as far as blue chip campaigns and prestigious covers so I'm not expecting Ale to be shot by Meisel for a Vogue Italia any time soon or to open Pieter Mulier's Versace, but surely she can do things like shoot more for Elle or walk shows like Tod's/Ferragamo/etc.It's clear that it's not just about money. Ale will fly and work for free when the client wants her because of the prestige, but it just saddens me that she doesn't get these opportunities. And I'm afraid time is running out for her to really be remembered in the pantheon of great models.
April 2Apr 2 I don't think the failure of her brand has been a significant loss for her, beyond a bit of disappointment, since I imagine she expected it to do better, but I don't know just how high her expectations were. If she was realistic, she would have expected it to be very difficult, because as Marsnoop rightly points out, it’s a very saturated market, and being famous isn’t enough, unless we’re talking about the level of fame of Rihanna, the Kardashians/Jenners, and that sort of celebrity. And Ale is a long way from that level. The silver lining, amidst the disappointment, is that these days, setting up this kind of business based on online sales isn’t that expensive, so I suppose the investment wasn’t too high. It doesn’t look like she made much money with the brand, but I also don’t think she lost too much.As a fan, of course I’d like to see her get more work, but I also suspect that her lack of activity isn’t so much a personal decision as it is a lack of interest from brands. I think she wants to keep working, but it seems like the industry has gradually forgotten about her. Not even Victoria’s Secret seems to be counting on her for anything beyond the VSFS. It’s a shame, and I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think she’s going to be able to turn the situation around significantly, because to a large extent, it’s not up to her.
May 20May 20 It seems like she's not even going to Cannes this year (I thiink she's been there regularly every year since 2013?)This has been a VERY WEIRD year for her overall. Her only work was in Brazil (due to a contract with a Brazilian brand). I really don't understand how she can be so ignored... Obviously, she's not an industry favorite, but she should at least continue to books covers and B-list shows like her fellows models as Adriana, Isabeli, and Candice. I think the real problem is that brands/clients aren't requesting her and her agents is just sitting and wait for some call resquesting for her to walk in Prada like in 2010 LOL, we all know that's not going to happen. But yes, i Think time is passing and she's already 45y, somehow I think she dont have time left to push her career and establish herself as a big model (I was hoping for this happen with the recent new agencies changes: Lions + Perspective + ZZO) but it feels like she will always be underrated, like the Helena C. of her generation.... It's sad because she really loves modeling and every time she has the opportunity she goes for it and does her job.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, especially given her absence so far from the Cannes Film Festival, which, as you say, she’s been attending every year for over a decade. It’s true that it’s not over yet, in fact, Irina just arrived today (though from Milan, a short trip), but the festival ends on the 23rd, and if she hasn’t gone yet, I don’t think she’ll be making the trip from America now. On top of that, she didn’t attend Coachella either, a festival that has always been a must for her, one she’s also attended without fail for many years. “CoachAle,” she used to say.For the first time in a long while, I feel like she’s fallen pretty far out of the spotlight for brands. And judging by the pace at which she’s been posting on Instagram in recent months, her lack of professional activity certainly doesn’t seem to be her decision, unlike with Doutzen, who doesn’t work much more because she doesn’t want to. In Ale’s case, it seems like she wants to draw attention back to herself by being very consistent with her Instagram posts. And it’s a shame that’s the case because I think she’s one of the models who has aged the best, if not the best. She looks incredible; I’d even say better than ever. But as you say, unfortunately, it’s kind of typical of her career, she’s an underrated model compared to other top models of her era.

You have a point! I even considered if all this distancing for modeling was a strategy to work towards for a better comeback, but I don't think so. I guess for that she would also need to be absent from social media, and as you said, she's very active on Instagram, and even for me, one of her biggest fans, it's become irritating that she's posting 10 slids posts about the same trip, and I'm already tired of seeing her in a bikini or the shit of #AloPartner.

May 20May 20 I think what Gprado means is that her social media makes her look like a C-list influencer instead of a top model, let alone a supermodel. I understand that times and the industry have changed but Alessandra doesn't need to be doing a thousand #AloPartner IG stories and posts, instead she needs a proper campaign by Alo. I mean c'mon, Alo has the big bucks for a Meisel campaign and they sponsored Vogue Mexico and V covers for Daiane. This is what a model of Ale's caliber deserves and it's annoying that her management can't do better.I'm not delusional, I know objectively Ale isn't some HF darling. She's never had the support of a major photographer (Meisel, Testino, etc.), a major editor (Carine, Anna Wintour, etc.) or a major casting director (PG, Ashley Brokaw, etc.) and YET without all of that she's still been working in this industry for nearly 30 years internationally. That's incredibly impressive for a girl that came out of the Brazilian wave of the 2000s with less support than most of her peers which no longer model. You can tell she still has the drive and the love of modeling, which makes this all so painful to watch. I'm not asking for a Vogue France cover and a closing slot at Pieter's new Versace, but surely she could be doing more. A cover for some of the less prestigious Vogues, a few independent magazines (Document, ODDA, etc.) and some smaller shows (not even asking for opening/closing slots) would all be great to show that she's still a part of the fashion conversation. I don't know if her bookers/agents just keep her rate so high that it dissuades anyone from wanting to book her. It's like when a model only books a single show and then they call her exclusive to make it sound better than no one else wanting to work with her. I feel like we often here how exclusive she is, but then it makes no sense to shoot something like Schon China and then not being able to work for a publication with more fashion credibility. In other news, her Bazaar Brazil interview revealed that she will have a new swimsuit collaboration being released in August. If I had to guess it will be tied to a larger brand and it will be for Brazilian market (since launching in August for swimwear would be weird in nothern hemisphere), so I'm hoping we get a bigger PR/media push for that.
