I know the First book was good, the rest of them JK rowling only did them to earn some more $.....

I don't care why she wrote more, but I'm glad she did because I enjoy it.

Both the UK children's and adult versions of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will have 608 pages according to a confirmation received by Harry Potter Fan Zone from Bloomsbury. The U.S. edition of the book, published by Scholastic, will have 672 pages.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films announced today that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban leads the nominations in the 31st Annual Saturn Awards.

The movie has been nominated in 9 categories including Best Picture (Fantasy), Best Director (Alfonso Cuarón) and Best Writer (Steve Kloves). Daniel Radcliffe received a nomination for Best Performance By A Younger Actor. The other categories include: Gary Oldman nominated as Best Supporting Actor, John Williams with Best Music, Best Costume, Best Make-up and Best Special Effects round out the nominations.

This year’s 31st Annual Saturn Awards will take place in the U.S. on Tuesday, May 3, at the Universal City Hilton Hotel.

I like the US edition, but then again it'll match the rest of the books I have, so that's the one I'd be getting anyway ( duh living in the US ).

That's your personal opinion. Other people enjoy the books and the movies. Which is why this thread was made...because people do enjoy them.

I don't quite understand the logic of posting to a thread about something you dislike, but to each their own I suppose.

Movie bosses plan to quit Britain and shoot future HARRY POTTER films in Eastern Europe in a bid to cut costs.

WARNER BROS executives want to abandon filming the JK ROWLING wizardry tales at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England, and relocate abroad - in a move to benefit from better tax breaks overseas.

A source tells British newspaper THE MAIL ON SUNDAY, "It would probably take them a month to take everything (the sets) to bits.

"The next movie won't start filming until next January (06), so they have plenty of time."

She wrote book 1 in a format similar to how George Lucas wrote Episode IV, in a way that if it does good he can continue the story, or if it did bad it wouldn't look like the story was unfinished.

JK had the entire story of Harry Potter, how its going to end, what happens in books seven, yada, yada, yada, BEFORE she wrote book 1. Yet she wasn't sure if the book would do well so she made it as independent as possible.
