I think Gigi is out. Irina is obviously out now that she's pregnant and since she has her ten years, I doubt she'll return after the baby. I think Chanel, Erin, Lily are gone as well, as well as the rookies from last year who haven't shot yet (Tanya, Sofia).

What difference does it make if it's a model search or just a shoot with all rookies?  Pictures in the magazine are pictures in the magazine. Other than some don't get tagged with the made-up label of rookie.

I thought the way they did it this year made them stand out more than say Sofia or Tanya, who seemed overshadowed by the other girls on their shoots.

To me it’s a little weird to have rookies and model search contestants because it’s like saying that the model search contestants weren’t good enough to become rookies right away. I’d understand it better if all the rookies were well-established models like Barbara Palvin but they were not. Why were e.g. Tanya and Sofia rookies but Megan, Daniela, Ebonee, Mia and the one girl mere contestants?

 

I’d understand it better if the model search contest was like the televised search that Alicia Hall won. Have a contest that a bunch of unknown models and even amateurs can enter into and then have the rookies be models who have already made a name for themselves in the industry.
