Posted December 1, 20159 yr Well that's it. What concerts have you been to? And of those which have been your favorites? Mine: 2006 Deep Purple My first concert ever. Los Jaivas Deep Purple Yes, again 2007 Velvet Revolver with Bad Religion opening Eddie C. Campbell Paul Gilbert Caetano Veloso My dad and sister were going to this and since concert tickets were still cheap back then I went too. Toto 2008 Iron Maiden I won at this thing at radio show and got to be on stage with some other fans during the song Heaven Can Wait. Awesome moment and awesome concert Monsters of Rock: Black Label Society; Korn; Ozzy Osbourne. BLS has to be one of the most violent crowds I've ever been into. Awesome concert. Rod Stewart Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Judas Priest Queen+Paul Rodgers Can't really be Queen without Freddie (and John Deacon!) but it was great anyway. 2009 Iron Maiden Again. And way bigger than before, but no stage this time Kiss. INCREDIBLE concert Faith No More 2010 Metallica Aerosmith Great concert. Awful crowd. Most people only knew the damn power ballads and had no idea about Aerosmith true identity: Blues and Rock n' Roll... Peter Frampton Jeff Beck I went to this one by pure luck. A friend was going with his dad,who due to work things couldn't make it and gave me his ticket. Stone Temple Pilots Here there's fewer each time since tickets prices are getting ridiculously high since then... 2011 Paul McCartney I'll never see The Beatles live, but at least I saw sir Paul. Ringo Starr And Ringo, so that's half the band! Maquinaria Festival: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Alain Johannes, Down, Chris Cornell, ALICE IN CHAINS, Faith No More. And that's just the ones I was interested in. Incredible day. Duff McKagan's band was playing too but I think the next day, but he was there anyway and went onstage with Alice in Chains to perform rhythm guitar on Rooster. Phil Anselmo should have done the same to sing Would with them! Alain Johanes joined Chris Cornell for Hunger Strike too. And FNM played King for a Day complete. My favorite album by them. I was so happy. 2012 Mark Lanegan Los Tres "The Lord of the Rings in Concert". A projection of the movie with an orchestra playing the score live. 2013 Black Sabbath. Megadeth opening. As much of a guitar virtuoso Broderick and Mustaine may be, the master Tony Iommi left them both like little children pretending to play guitar. WHAT A CONCERT. And that sound!! Slow and heavy: Black Sabbath's identity. 2015 Ringo Starr Again Mastodon Really small venue, but it was for the best. I was really close to the stage and the sound was great. Kiss and Black Sabbath are my favorites.
December 2, 20159 yr awesome topic! ok this is going to take a while and I'll most probably forget something but here it goes: 2006 Scorpions & Whitesnake first concert ever. Deep Purple Depeche Mode 2007 Iron Maiden my favorite band at the time (still is in my top 5) so I was pretty blown away. Gamma Ray & Helloween UFO Scorpions Jethro Tull Metallica 2008 Motorhead Kiss Scorpions & Def Leppard The Sex Pistols never though I would actually see them live The Offspring Judas Priest Iron Maiden 2009 (pretty much my slowest year) AC/DC 2010 Bob Dylan The Big 4 at Sonisphere Festival '10: first festival Anthrax Slayer Megadeth Metallica Rammstein Snow Patrol & U2 Ozzy 2011 Bon Jovi Mastodon Slipknot Iron Maiden Foo Fighters I will never forget Dave Grohl after the first song (White Limo) shouting 'I don't know to what kind of concerts you go but we'll be here for at least 3 hours'. and he wasn't lying. 2012 Rock Werchter '12: first proper festival, so many awesome artists! Blink-182 The Cure Temper Trap Lana Del Rey Jack White Pearl Jam deadmau5 Kasabian The xx The Vaccines Dropkick Murphys Noel Gallagher Skrillex Florence & The Machine Snow Patrol with an appearance of a relatively unknown new artist (then) by the name Ed Sheeran Red Hot Chili Peppers Red Hot Chili Peppers twice in a month, completely different shows Global Citizen Festival '12: amazing experience for so many reasons, some of them being it's a festival in the middle of Central Park and I met Erin Heatherton! Band of Horses John Legend The Black Keys Foo Fighters Neil Young 2013 Download Festival '13: this festival was brutal because of the awesome British weather but so worth it! Papa Roach Down KoRn Slipknot UFO Mastodon Motorhead Alice in Chains Queens of the Stone Age Iron Maiden 4th time seeing them, the had a freakin' WWII Spitfire plane fly above the stage right before they came out, once again I left without a voice! Five Finger Death Punch Stone Sour 30 Seconds to Mars Rammstein Lana Del Rey Global Citizen Festival '13: met Lily Aldridge, Olivia Wilde and Erin again! Kings of Leon John Mayer Alicia Keys Stevie Wonder 2014 Albert Hammond Jr. & Jake Bugg London Grammar at Jimmy Fallon not really a concert, they played 3 songs but still a pretty cool experience Arctic Monkeys London Grammar this girl's voice is seriously out of this world Coachella '14: no words... it's Coachella. and I met Alessandra Ambrosio! Wye Oak Grouplove AFI Afghan Whigs OutKast Ty Segall The 1975 Kid Cudi the worst thing I have ever seen on a stage MGMT Pixies Queens of the Stone Age Muse Courtney Barnett Zoé The Naked and Famous Lana Del Rey Calvin Harris Daughter Motorhead they closed their set with Ace of Spades and Slash came out of nowhere, everyone went nuts! Arcade Fire Global Citizen Festival '14: met Jessica Alba and of course Erin was there again! in terms of music definitely the weakest Global Citizen festival fun. The Roots Carrie Underwood No Doubt Jay-Z The 1975 2015 London Grammar they have definitely become one of my favorites and I actually got to meet them that night! alt-J James Bay Governors Ball '15: Death from Above 1979 Sharon Van Etten Florence and the Machine Ratatat Angus and Julia Stone Bjork deadmau5 Tame Impala Weird Al one of the coolest shows I've seen, he's hilarious! Noel Gallagher The Black Keys Damien Rice Bowling for Soup Foo Fighters holy shit when Dave came out sitting on the throne... quite possible my favorite show ever. U2 Daughter & Ben Howard Daughter next day after the show with Ben Howard, they did a secret show for about 150 people... I fell in love with Elena (their singer). Upcoming 2015 The 1975 2016 Muse Iron Maiden this will be my 5th time seeing them, personal record for most times I've seen the same band! Coachella '16 and many many more... About favorites... can't really choose out of all these shows. If I had to make a top 5 it would be Foo Fighters '15, Maiden '13, U2 '15, London Grammar '15 and Rammstein '13 just because of all the fire and explosions!
December 2, 20159 yr Omg, so many concerts, you're so lucky, there's so many bands I would have loved to see Mine are : Motley Crue, Hinder & Theory of a Deadman, Eminem (best day of my life), Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez (let's not comment about this XD) I was supposed to go see the Stones in QC city last summer, but I couldn't at the last minute, I was so upset! My dream would be to see the RHCP live when their next CD is out !
December 3, 20159 yr Author ^ I just hope I can see the Stones in February but the tickets are so damn expensive... How was Mötley Crüe? Impressive list @sub-zero!!! Even more because of meeting Ale and Erin.
December 3, 20159 yr It was my first real concert, I was fourteen, it was awesome, my dad came with me, he didn't like it at all, he prefers classic music. Let's say it was not his scene. XD I was probably one of the youngest people there There was lots of fire and explosions, the usual @Stormbringer Black Sabbath must have been something as well !
December 3, 20159 yr You bastards. My jealousy has now turned to hate. Has anyone seen Mission of Burma recently?
December 3, 20159 yr Author @Sunshiine! Awesome! How was Vince Neil's voice? I remember they had a concert here some years ago with Buckcherry as the opening act but I didn't go... Oh and Black Sabbath was absolutely incredible. One of my 2 favorites along with Kiss by far!! It was watching true legends and almost the original line-up. I had my concerns about Ozzy's singing; I saw some videos of that tour and he was singing pretty bad, but that day he was actually singing great! And Tony Iommi is a freaking legend by himself, one of the best guitarists I've ever seen live. Just a solid and flawless performance and the definition of heavy music's guitar, with no need for "pyrotechnics" and showing off. The Riff god in all his might. They made Megadeth look bad. That's how awesome Black Sabbath was.
February 19, 20169 yr Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Chevelle, Megadeth, Tool, Chris Cornell (acoustic), Ozzy Osborne, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Papa Roach, Slipknot, Drowning Pool, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, Union Underground, Taproot, The Sword, Godsmack, Deftones, The Breeders, Rob Zombie, System of a Down, Judas Priest, Down, Stone Temple Pilots, Crazy Town (got booed off the stage), Primus, POD, Adema, Flaw, Andrew WK, Mushroomhead, Hatebreed, Il Nino, Otep, and Sade.
April 11, 20169 yr Author Update: 2016 Mandrácula One of Chile's best and more important Hard Rock bands just reunited and had their comeback show this past friday. My ears are still kind of suffering the consequences but it was amazing
April 15, 20169 yr Rush- Snakes & Arrows Tour Rush- Time Machine Tour Roger Waters- The Wall Live The Tragically Hip- We Are The Same Tour Matthew Good (i think 2009? can't remember)
May 3, 20169 yr Dolores O' Riordan, Joaquin Sabina, Love of lesbian, Iván Ferreiro, Alejandro Sanz, Loquillo, Marilia, Ella Baila Sola, Beth, Amistades peligrosas, etc
June 25, 20168 yr Author Another update: 2016 Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile; Conductor: Leonid Grin. Gustav Mahler's Symphony nº2
November 20, 20168 yr Author Updating: 2016 Guns n' Roses I never thought I would have the chance to see them live with Axl, Slash and Duff together. If only Izzy would have joined it would have been perfect. Still it was an incredible concert and it even started on time! Black Sabbath + Rival Sons as the opening act. This was yesterday and it was incredible! Plus I managed to get quite close to the stage.
August 12, 20177 yr ^ GNR Awesome! I've seen the RHCP for a second time, even better than the first! They had amazing energy, vocals were great too. I was a bit sad that they didin't do Under the bridge and Soul to Squeeze (my fave) but they did a song from 1984 I never thought they would play that song since they don't do much songs from that era.

October 1, 20177 yr Author Another update! 2017: - Elton John. This one was for my birthday, which made it even better. - Santiago Rock City festival. Day 1: The Who + Guns n' Roses. This was last night. Seeing The Who live was incredible! I never thought I would be able to see those legends live (this was the first time ever they played here, and I doubt they'll come back). It might be only half of the original band but both Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend were incredible (but the bass player played the My Generation's bass solos with a pick... that was a let down). Guns n' Roses were great too. Similar set list to that of last year, but much longer: they played for 3 hours this time! Today is Santiago Rock City's day 2 but I'm not going. Def Leppard is playing now. On 20/9/2017 at 1:00 PM, Sunshiine said: and amazing! It was amazing!!
