Lyla Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 This is a very weird series. Those smokers are so f*cked up. But I still like to watch it. Quote
Diabolo Fraise Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Oh yes, very weird... But I don't know why, I'm forced to look at every episode I don't understand much, but I like this mystery Quote
Lyla Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Yeah! me too! The last one was very disturbing. Though allmost all the episodes were that. But these smokers...they're so annoying! And so many mysteries! I wanna know them all! Quote
Lyla Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 ^ For me, it wasn't obvious! ahahhah I was surprised, though it makes sense. Quote
Socio Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 The 9th episode was great. I think I shouldn't like this show, but I watch every episode.. Quote
widget Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Agreed, a little weird but the mystery regarding the departed is keeping me around. Quote
PinkCouture Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 ^ For me, it wasn't obvious! ahahhah I was surprised, though it makes sense. The first scene of that episode and the fact there was no talking from the stone throwers gave it a way Quote
Lyla Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 ^ For me, it wasn't obvious! ahahhah I was surprised, though it makes sense. The first scene of that episode and the fact there was no talking from the stone throwers gave it a way AHahahha! really! You're right! But I still don't understand why didn't know about that everybody in the group? Aren't they prepared enough for that yet? hmmm.. .I liked this last episode very much. Though I like Justin Theroux less week by week. Quote
PinkCouture Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 ^ I guess Patti didn't think everyone in the group was ready. She was an eccentric woman so who knows Yeah, I liked the last episode too. It was nice to get a better understanding how life was right before and up to the point of the disappearances. And we got to finally hear Laurie's voice! Why do you like Justin Theroux less week by week? I don't think there is a new episode tomorrow because it is Labor Day weekend but the week after is the season finale. So quick and still so many unanswered questions! But it did get renewed for season two so we have to wait until next summer to hopefully get more answers Quote
Lyla Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I hope we'll have some episodes like this in the future. I don't like JT by now that much coz.I'm not satisfied with his acting skills! But it's not a big thing... And do you know the book? Is that the same? Or just similar? Maybe I'll read. Quote
PinkCouture Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I am not impressed by his acting either. He isn't a bad actor just not notable. Not sure is it the role or is he really just an ok actor. For example, Jon Hamm is a great actor but his role as Don Draper doesn't do him justice. The role limits his acting skills which is why he will probably never get an Emmy for it I haven't read the book but from what I have heard, the book and show do share some similar plot lines but they are overall different. Quote
Lyla Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 That's even better, then I can't ruin the experience! I love Mad Men too, and Jon Hamm, but I don't find him a great actor either. And since I saw him in a comedy with Kristen Wiig, he ruined my endless Don Draper love for good.ahhahaha Quote
Socio Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Agreed, a little weird but the mystery regarding the departed is keeping me around. The book didn't reveal what happened. I haven't read it yet. Justin Theroux is not so bad at this show. His quite convincing. He also got good background. I think he played in Twin Peaks and Mullholand Drive. Quote
Michael* Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 This is starting next week in the UK, I plan on giving it a whirl. Quote
Lyla Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I hate those smokers so much! Those dolls were so cruel! Quote
Socio Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think it was good final of the season. This last episode could have been more darker. They should show more of lynching the smokers. Quote
Diabolo Fraise Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 I think it was good final of the season. This last episode could have been more darker. They should show more of lynching the smokers. I agree, but I still understand nothing, what is enough annoying Quote
PinkCouture Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 The show has been renewed for a second season. Unlike the first season, the second would not cover plots & specific storylines from the book. It will be based on original materials & writing Quote
