November 16, 201113 yr ^Thanks Theron From the NYTimes: A Night for Art, Fashion and Film WONDERING who’s behind the hedges is usually a summertime activity. But on a drizzly Tuesday evening, the lobby of the Museum of Modern Art was walled off behind verdant dividers, shielding the powerful, talented and glamorous at the museum’s fourth annual Film Benefit. The three-part evening began outside on West 54th Street, where guests dashed from their town cars to the rose-festooned red carpet indoors. Those who stole a glimpse of it would have spotted a heady stream of screen veterans (Sarah Jessica Parker, Drew Barrymore), as well as the young and ambitious (Olivia Wilde, Chloë Grace Moretz). Many guests were drawn to the hosts, Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour. “I’m nervous. I’ve never met Karl Lagerfeld before,” said Ms. Moretz, who wore a nude and black beaded tunic by Chanel. “I’m good friends with Blake Lively though,” she added. “She’ll be my in.” Just then, Mr. Lagerfeld strode in to a storm of flashbulbs. Amid the hoopla, it was easy to forget that Pedro Almodóvar was the night’s honored guest. “Pedro is the nicest person,” said Mr. Lagerfeld, who designed costumes for two of Mr. Almodóvar’s films, including “High Heels.” “Working with him, everything came normally. It was not a fashion event, so things went smoothly.” There were no bumps on the first floor, where the cocktail hour rang with a familial intimacy. The artists Marina Abramovic, Cindy Sherman and Terence Koh huddled together, while the designer Rachel Roy beamed at her brother, Rajendra Roy, the chief curator of film at the museum. “I dressed him,” Ms. Roy said, pointing to her brother’s three-piece Tom Ford suit. “I love it when my subjects listen to me and do exactly what I say.” Nearing 7:30 p.m., guests were shepherded to the downstairs theater for the award presentation. Bruce Weber, the photographer, took the stage with a speech that ended with a humorous note: with Ian Mellencamp, a model, playing guitar, Mr. Weber pretended to audition for a part in an Almodóvar film. If it was zany, it was also heartfelt. It certainly moved Mr. Almodóvar, a well-known nurturer of talent. “Bruce, I promise to work with you as an actor,” the director ribbed. Dinner was a spectacular affair: the second floor was transformed into a red-velvet dining hall. Actors, art stars and the fashion elite were spotted in every direction. Ms. Lively was separated from Ms. Moretz. “I’ll kidnap her later,” Ms. Lively joked, before taking her seat next to Mr. Lagerfeld, along with Lady Amanda Harlech for a meal of prawns and lamb chops. At the next table, Elizabeth Olsen leaned over low vases of pink peonies to banter with her tablemates, and across the room fizzing with chatter and air kisses, Tilda Swinton turned heads with a late arrival. Alicia Keys capped off the night with a three-song set on a glossy black grand piano. Her closing song, “Empire State of Mind,” had some in the crowd, like Karen Elson, singing along. Mr. Almodóvar didn’t join in but he leaned forward, captivated. She did sit next to Karl, that's good enough for me even if we didn't get any pics of them.

The 'Gossip Girl' actress owns over 100 pairs of the designer shoes and 14-year-old Chloe says a highlight of working with Blake was when the star brought 40 pairs of shoes on location in North Carolina with her and generously let her co-star try them on. Chloe told People: "We were [on set] in North Carolina and she brought like 40 pairs with her. And she said, 'This is like one-third of my collection.' They're tall. Really tall."

The film features Ryan playing a CIA agent who gets tangled up in action when he meets a rogue agent played by Denzel Washington. Reynolds, who has been rumored to be in a romance with Blake Lively, could later be seen riding off on his Triumph motorcycle on November 17th, 2011.
