A forensic examination is currently set for Tuesday, August 12 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.“An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by the Investigations and Coroner Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office,” the police said in a statement.The police added, “Preliminary information developed during the investigation indicates Mr. Williams was last seen alive at his residence, where he resides with his wife, at approximately 10:00 pm on August 10, 2014.” Robin Williams' Rep Release Statement On His Sudden Death Robin Williams‘ shocking death has left us completely speechless, but his rep has finally broken the silence.“Robin Williams passed away this morning. katchitup Posted August 13, 2014 Author Share Posted August 13, 2014 Robin Williams Preliminary Cause of Death: Asphyxia Due to Hanging A press conference is currently being held to answer questions about Robin Williams‘ sudden death, which was believed to be suspected suicide by asphyxia after preliminary reports. The 63-year-old beloved actor, comedian, and multi-award winning actor had an examination performed today, which revealed his cause of death to be asphyxia due to hanging by a belt in the preliminary autopsy. Details are still being worked out. Toxicology will be run to see if chemicals were in the body at the time of death. Robin was found by his assistant with a belt around his neck in a seated position with cut marks around his wrists. Police have not commented if a note was found at the scene. The time of death is not known. Robin‘s wife Susan Schneider last saw her husband at 10:30 pm on Sunday evening, and left the house before seeing him in the morning. The final cause and manner of death will be revealed in several weeks. This is just an initial cause of death based on preliminary observations. All of this information came from the press conference held today. Robin was found dead in his home mid-day yesterday. After news broke, the outpouring of love and memorials on social media over took the web.
