I watched GoT (liked it but wasn't hyped like everyone else) + the first season of HoD (maybe also the 2nd I don't remember didn't like it much). Never heard of Tales of D & E (what's D & E? 😅)

Still want to watch "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" but it's on HBO max in germany which I haven't right now.

so i'm guessing the ending/final seasons of GOT and the unfinished state of the books/story didn't bother you?

Tales of Dunk and Egg was the book title of "A knight of the seven kingdoms"

I was a big reader as a child/teen and young adult, but not so much in my adulthood right now especially since becoming a mom I simply have no time nor the patience to ist down reading a book.

I remember not much from the final GoT season honestly but I remember I didn't liked it much especially what they did with Daenerys character.

tbh me too, I didn't have time to read any of the ASOIAF physical novels. I do all my literature 'reading' via audiobook, played everytime when I have a chance instead of music.

Yes, in the books Daenerys was built up to have a terrible ending & be the worst villian, even though the fans (and me) didn't really want it to go that way.

The final episode of HOD S3 came out. S4 will be the last season, in 2 yrs.

Overall the show is interesting but it really suffers from the fact that GRRM never wrote a real fleshed out book with complex and interesting characters for the plotline of HOD. The plot is overall very solid, and is derived from the history 'skeleton' from Fire & Blood. The sequence of events/conflicts works but the characters themselves, and the actors- with a few exceptions (Daemon)- don't really hold a candle to the original GOT.

The fact that the majority of the cast are not memorable and intriguing has made the show less meme-able and viral than the original series. The actors feel less like real people but more like vehicles to move the complicated plot. If GRRM wrote a huge book or a pair of books about this conflict with the same quality as ASOIAF the HOD show would have been much better and the show would be culturally relevant.

Watching right now, not completely hooked but not so bored to stop either.

I don't know what this show is 😄 I watch it with my husband it's sometimes hard to find a show or movie we're equally have interest in.
