Way to go Alt-J taking out this year's Mercury Prize :Dinah:

Here's them doing a mash-up cover of Dr Dre's "Still D.R.E." and Kylie Minogue's "Slow". Amazing :chicken:

^I just got done watching the coverage, and their performance on the night was pretty great. The Mercury is such a good thing for bands (Plan B aside) who need a leg-up and a chance to get some decent cash behind them.

This one (along with Wolf Alice) is pretty much wearing out my replay button right now. Daft name, brilliant song. :chicken:

Also, recommended listening for fans of Yeasayer and/or Friendly Fires. :)

New Darwin Deez. Cool video!

Bat for Lashes. Pleasantly surprised by the performance of 'Oh Yeah' which I'd assumed would work better in the context of the album. :hehe:

wow some great stuff here you guys. and it's great that Alt-J won (I think it was I who introduced them to this thread) :p

and while you guys always seem to be pretty up on your female musicians, somehow the best track and video IMO, of the year has gone past you.

Solange's Losing You.

Dev Hynes, of Blood Orange and Lightspeed Champion, produced her new EP with his whole 80's new wave vibe and this track is just PERFECT. And the video is just too cool.
