Death Cab For Cutie return with their seventh studio album, Codes and Keys this May.

Now the band have announced a world first event to coincide with the release of the video clip that accompanies the new track 'You Are A Tourist'.

It's set to be directed by award-winning filmmaker Tim Nackashi (TV On The Radio, OK Go, Radiohead) and aims to be "the first-ever live, scripted, single-take music video to be broadcast as it is filmed."

:sex:

I don't think I'll get to see it, but anyone interested can stream it live here: http://www.ustream.tv/deathcabforcutie

Already posted on the previous page, and indeed the video for the song on this page!

But yes, I love it a lot. Can't wait for the album next month

Oh sh!t.. I scrolled right down to the bottom without looking when the page loaded, my apologies :p

But yeah, i'm looking forward to it too!

With any luck, there'll be another couple of songs on the show's extended Friday evening edition, but for now -

^Whoa, there's a drummer

You're right though, that's quite a gob o_O

^Was wondering what all the fuss was about until I reached 1:41. Good lord, it's huge. :|

Only one additional number from the Friday Night show. Blame Beady Eye and Elbow. :persuazn:

Thanks a lot Michael

I can forgive Elbow though - I love those guys. I didn't even know they had a new album out. About time too! :chicken:

Has anyone heard the new Elbow album? Care to share some thoughts before I download buy it?

I can't honestly say I've ever gotten into Elbow

Madness :chicken:

Thanks for posting those - new stuff sounds great. I'll have to pick up their new album toot sweet :ninja:

They're one band I've been aching to see live properly. I saw them a couple of years ago at a festival. They were fantastic, but it was only a 45 min daytime set, and not really the ideal setting you'd want to see them in. I hope they tour this album here later in the year :pinch:

^Not really sure why, I've just always found Elbow hard going. It's weird, I can always pick out bits and pieces that I like the sound of but can't remember ever enjoying one of the songs from start to finish. I imagine they'd be good to see live though.

Double post... might as well include some new stuff

Flaming Lips anybody? Good album though

Will this be released 2011?

Apparently, it's an early June release for the Arctics album.

Wasn't overly keen on 'Brick By Brick' when I first heard it, but 'Don't Sit Down' sounds pretty great.

Apparently, it'll include a song from Alex Turner's solo record as well! :bounce:
