December 21, 200519 yr Wow. A lot of metal fans here. :shock:I listen to stuff that's pretty far from mainstream. Lately, Ulrich Schnauss (electronica, downloads available at http://www.ulrich-schnauss.com ), Sigur Ros (typically called post-rock), Anathema (their more recent acoustic rock albums) and Juno Reactor (think music from The Matrix Reloaded).

Not saying good or bad or otherwise... just oddly diverse in a way that's not really hugely diverse. I wouldnt expect one person to go from Trivium to Qotsa, Mastodon to Lost Prophets, Mars Volta to Soilwork etc. Good on you though.
December 26, 200519 yr u saw Funeral For a Friend how were they? Their music is awesome No, sorry to say I haven't seen them live yet. In fact from the list, I've only seen Mastodon, A7X, and Trivium, but they were all great live. Especially Mastodon. They were way more intense than on their albums even. Avenged Sevenfold(N) So the rest of them get a (Y) ? I can live with that. I really like them, but I saw that they were #1 on TRL for a few days... That really pissed me off. Now it's like I have to hate them even though I like their music. You have odd taste in music. Not saying good or bad or otherwise... just oddly diverse in a way that's not really hugely diverse. I wouldnt expect one person to go from Trivium to Qotsa, Mastodon to Lost Prophets, Mars Volta to Soilwork etc. Good on you though. Well my 3 favorite bands of all time are Pink Floyd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and At the Drive-In, so I'm a bit more schizo than you think. I definitely lean toward heavier genres, but I love any music that's well-constructed and melodic.
