Its so sad to see KK to leave but i think she will be amazing in whatever she does. I do think that they are grooming Emanuela. What with her being in the show last year as well as all the current work she has been doing with VS. Including Swim 2009 BioFit etc so im sure she will be announced as the next Angel soon. Truthfully i dont think they should rush into it like they did with Selita. We know they arent racist just because there isnt a black model as an angel doesnt mean anything. So i say give Emanuela a couple more launches. Get her in the public eye a little then contract her...

Now back on KK. GI JOE is gonna be an awesome step for her. I would love to see her something Romantic. I hate romance movies but she just seems like she could charm anyone.

Yeah they should go slow with Emanuela. I think the problem with Selita was that she was pushed in too soon. They should have given her more time to grow and get more press and more media coverage. She really was one of the unnoticed angels. Which is sad because it does seem like VS like to use favorites and use some of the other girls more. I think that taking things slow is a good thing and she can build up a career for herself. She is still pretty young she she will be with them for a long time. I think all of the newer VS models need to get more media coverage and public exposure, just like you said.

I think that KK would be wonderful in a romantic comedy. it's just very VERY hard for a model to break through into acting. like almost impossible. she has to actually have talent -- so i hope she's been training and studying. sure, there are lots of famous actresses who were once models (Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, for example) but they were never SUPERMODELS. Karolina Kurkova has been relatively famous for about 8 years now, due to her modeling. so she's got a hard battle ahead of her in order to be taken seriously as an actress.

the only way it could work, i think, is if she's given a role like this one - this tough G.I. Joe chick. if she can be an action star of some sort then she might be able to make a transition over to romantic comedy or drama. Milla Jovovich has been able to carve out a bit of a niche as an actress. i think KK has more potential than her though, because honestly i think that KK has more charisma. she just has that "IT" about her.

but again, as someone else said earlier, she was born to be a supermodel. so i hope she gets back into the fashion world a bit. all sorts of models have made comebacks in fashion. she can too!

I also think acting will be good for her. Hopefully they wont be so harsh on her weight like they did for her in modeling. It's sad that that has happened to her. She is very gorgeous, I think she will make a good actress. But there are those stereotypes like models cant act. We haven't ever seen her act before either, so who knows. Fingers crossed though.

That is very true it is hard for a model to make it. Because especially KK she is and will always be a supermodel. Other models turned actresses were just that only models. I love them like Rebecca Romijn and Molly Sims but they transitioned because they looked like every day girls. Now Karolina is amazing but she is tall and long and has a different look. Not many people will appreciate her.

Come on...looks are faaaar from keeping her from acting or anything. Look at her red carpet pics. She's just as hollywood and just as 20 million dollar per movie as any other A lister. She belongs in the spotlight.

I think I've got to side with Kevork89 on this one....I think it will be difficult for KK to attain that celebrity status that other models-turned-actresses have gained in the past. AND I LIKE IT THAT WAY. Her look is different and Hollywood is all about fitting into the mold IMO. I like thinking of KK as breaking a lot of boundaries when it comes to definitions of beauty and attractiveness...that is one of the reasons she became one of my favorites to begin with. There are features in her face that a lot of people may not appreciate (we've all heard the 'criticisms') but that I absolutely adore.

I think she is a due for a makeup contract, some more editorials in cutting edge fashion mags and perhaps some small roles in movies here and there. She doesn't seem like someone who wants to be typecasted into any one category so I'm expecting to see her dip her feet into many opportunities, not just acting.
