So a few highlights of the interview:

 

- Ed: "you have to be very careful when you tell about the fuuture of a girl in a company but everything points that she is going to became one of the next angels" 

 

- "It's something huge. Sara defeated all the girls in NY to get this job" said Ali, regarding the Carl's Jr ad campaign; Also mentioned that currently in the industry they are looking for personality, more than just a pretty face, and "Sara is going to become a star"

 

- Regarding the 1st casting for VSFS: Sara said that the "casting went well" but after a couple of hours she got a call from the agent saying that she didn't get the job and she was devastated, and she went to Portugal to be with the family for some comfort; Ed said "She was not fit for VS criteria. There are girls that train all year for the show, and she was not ready"

 

- Sara went to her agency saying that she was not satisfied because she knew she could be getting more and better jobs. One of the directors went to Ali and said "I know you like Sara and she's planning to leave. We cannot let that happen, do you want to be her agent?" (we all know what was his answer haha )

 

- Then they defined a plan for the first 6 months and set the goal to show [the industry] that she was more grown up and versatile. They tried to reduce the number of PINK campaigns and increase work with the main line; increase the number of meetings with editors and crucial photographers in the industry. 

 

- They also mention that they changed her image, and she stopped using the H&M and Zara stuff to the Rag&Bone and YvesSaintLaurent. Sara: "I cannot meet with a designer using the copies of the things the big brands do, it's a reason for me not to get hired."

 

- "In just a few months, the cachets were 3 times bigger"

 

- Next VSFS casting: Ed: "Her body was amazing". at the end of the casting, Ed told her "You were amazing! Almost sure you'll do the show" and Sara replied "This year I won't accept any excuse not to do the show [laughs]"

 

- [Ed also says that they take men for granted and that they are looking for girls that the girls like. and that "both younger and older women they love Sara, she's beautiful and accesible"]

 

- Ali also said that everyone that works with Sara loves her and that she is great developing those kinds of relationships. Sara said that that doesn't happen in a natural way, that she puts a lot of effort into it, because she is shy, and that's why sometimes it's so exhausting. 

 

- The article also mentions that when Ali left the previous agency, he could only take 5 girls and Sara was not in those 5, but they got back together as soon as they were able to manage legal issues. 

 

- [On Social Media] She knows literally what's the best time to post (to take into account the fans in Europa and America); Which kinds of photos get her more and less likes, etc etc etc; then they also talk about the whole bullying because of her body etc etc etc. Ed says that he would hire Sara anyway, but they way she communicates makes her special. "Texts like this raised an important topic for all the girls all over the world; and it makes her more known and admired by the industry"

 

- due to the increasing demand they had to hire a PR company for Sara. (they also mention that Sara is very hands on when it comes to her money and business strategy)

 

 - apparently last year Sara made between 300k and 500k

 

- they are trying to get the beauty contract to get millions instead of thousands.

I'm with you, elfstone. Even though this is great news, we shouldn't be 100% sure that this is going to happen, purely based on the article. Let's wait and see what's happening in the following weeks..

Sara and Ali follow me on IG, but I don't want to bother them with messages because it hasn't been confirmed or denied.

They didn't quote Ed saying that she would be made an Angel this spring. What may have happen is that he said they would announce new angels this spring but perhaps not her. I'm guessing if they make her an angel it will be in the fall or begginning of next year

That journalist is going to get nasty emails if Sara isn't named after Spring

HAHA yes I will haunt that journalist for making me having Angel expectations now

 

Even though she didn't do the swim special, she was shooting the designer collection (I think) 2 days ago..
