I personally think it's for modeling. Usually the cinema industry doesn't make a girl lose so much weight for a movie if it's not for a very important part that could give them an Oscar nomination. They can ask girls to be toned and have a model-like body, not to be this skinny.

Do you think she's losing weight for modeling or a movie?

It could very well be for neither.

When you're fixating on your appearance, it's easy to lose weight for no real reason. Example: I'm a 100% vain asshole and I know a hot girl who was a couple kilos heavier than "ideal." She lost a TON of weight and of course looks super fly. Even though her weight loss put her around my size (and even though it's actually her pretty face that makes her so hot), seeing her sexify herself with healthy eating and exercise triggered a competitive part of my brain that made me want to lose weight, too. Losing weight wouldn't make me any prettier, certainly not prettier than her, but I still felt the urge.

But then I chilled out and had a bunch of pulled pork and peach cobbler. Maybe it's not so easy to do that if your career is based on your looks and you're surrounded by an ever-increasing pool of younger, hotter competition.

I wonder how much the worrying kind of weight loss with models is because of OCD? It can be a potent and dangerous mix if a persons dietary regimen gets to be part of their OCD rituals.

I think it's a mild case of body dysmorphic disorder.

Me too.

And now her face looks a little bit gaunt and that's not a good thing because her nose looks bigger.

She has masculine features -that's why she photographs so well - and her weight loss accentuates the masculines features the wrong way.

And @kbutt394: agree with you.
