Rumors surfaced last week that Cara Delevingne–who walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time in 2012–would not be returning for a second stint. We were crushed (at least for the sake of this article). But after doing a bit of delving, we may have found a small clue as to why the budding is choosing to forgo the possibility of schmoozing with Harry Styles whilst wearing lingerie…In public, that is. Recently, Delevingne Instagrammed some outtakes from what’s apparently a new campaign for Italian lingerie brand La Perla. Shot by fashion photog duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the snaps show the lithe 21-year-old giving the camera her very best shmexy face (no crossed-eyes here) in some barely-there underthings. We’re not necessarily insinuating that either La Perla or Victoria’s Secret made Delevingne choose one purveyor of underthings over another–but we aren’t not saying that either.
