October 27, 20222 yr She looks really cute to me when she is wearing that crown. It is jarring and I can't take her that seriously lol. My overall rating for the season is a 4.3 out of 5. I personally enjoyed the first 5 episodes more than the second half. But all of it was good. My only issue is the casting for some of the characters isn't great, and their stylistic choice of extreme time compression over characters outside the main ones. A really well made show overall.
October 27, 20222 yr My impression is different from yours. I thought it took a long time to get going. Only the final two episodes felt like they had real stakes. The rest of the season seemed mostly about world-building and setting the table for the coming civil war. It still has failed in creating a large cast of likable/compelling characters. Probably it will never match Game of Thrones in that aspect.

I think they made a mistake by introducing and then killing off too many new characters. It was a better use of time to focus on a smaller but higher quality and better developed cast of characters. A lot of these sub-plotlines actually took a lot of screentime and could have been removed entirely. For instance I find the Valerions the weaker link in the show. It's hard to really care about any of them except for the Seasnake and the old Princess.
October 27, 20222 yr Olivia Cooke's character (adult Alicent) was rather obnoxious. Just very neurotic all the time and one-note. It would have been better if they made her character more multi-faceted and easier to watch. Daemon Spoiler choking R said something vital: "“My brother was a slave to his omens and portents. Anything to make his feckless reign seem to have purpose.” "

October 28, 20222 yr ^ Camille Kostek who apparently is with this guy's friend is way better than Gisele.
October 31, 20222 yr The Seoul halloween crush massacre is insane, one of the most bizarre accidents I've ever seen.
October 31, 20222 yr Is it true that Gisele divorced him because she is angry he won't retire? It does seem weird he is clinging to his career this deep into his forties, especially since he has nothing more to prove. He has even answered the "can he win withouth Belicheck" question.

I expect more to come out as November 8th is almost here.
October 31, 20222 yr ^ I think that Elon overpaid Twitter. Probably $10 or 20 billion (which is a huge goodwill). Twitter's fair value per share was probably around $30 or 40. Maybe his genius will help, but given the number of censoring creeps gravitating around social media (not just the US but also the EU), I'm not sure he will be able to save (and free) the bird. But who knows

Maybe one day, it may become even more literal than that

October 31, 20222 yr Quote 'Golden parachutes' for fired Twitter executives worth $122 million, research firm says https://www.reuters.com/technology/golden-parachutes-3-fired-twitter-executives-worth-122-mln-equilar-2022-10-28/ $122 million............................. For these useless creeps. Oh, it pays well to be a progressive. Leftists always were the biggest thieves
