When I was younger, it was never the case where I live. Educated people would explain how sexism and bigotry are dangerous. Only the individual mattered. Today, it's not the case anymore. Politicians (mostly the left) are waging civil wars with their grievance politics. Same for a lot of universities (that are plagued by political correctness), the mainstream media or self-proclaimed elites like Hollywood. These people have no convictions, they just suck the mass hysteria from the media and become one with it. I still can't see things getting better (though I know it will eventually) and it pisses me off a little bit.
