It disincentives work and it's even unfair, because let's face it, in a highly taxed country (like France...), the middle class is the one that pays (the rich always have tax loopholes). When it's more interesting to be unemployed than employed (or when the difference is too low), then the whole system is perverted. You need social welfare, but not too much. It's a subtle balance. US is way too much on the other side- to the point where there are very few blacks and latinos that will vote Republican and business owners try to pay as little as possible when the job market is tight. Also, in the US even low wage earners are taxed significantly (eg. 18 percent) from their already poor earnings. Recently I got a political mail that was Anti-Biden, Anti-Black, and Anti- Latino, while being Pro-White and Pro-Asian. That's kind of the political-economic-racial divide right there.

Even the Defenders was good. That's when MCU series were good (2015 - 2019). Nowadays, MCU produces garbage like She-hulk whose writing isn't worth much more than what a toddler could write on a napkin at a boring dinner party. It's sad to see resourceful companies, like Marvel, hire mediocre writers whose only quality is to puke woke trash.

Racial divide is extremely dangerous. Wherever it comes from. Nothing good will come out of this.

It is an awesome comic and something I wish can be made into a series. The entire comic is free online at readcomic I think the most recent Punisher movie was heavily inspired by it. I liked it personally.

Punisher War Zone. The film is not perfect but it is the closest one to the Punisher MAX comics. He is a better punisher than Jane. I think however, he could have been meaner and more cruel. He was a little too nice in this film.
November 3, 20222 yr In looking at the final tally for the Iraq war: 25,071 dead US/Coalition/Iraqi allied troops 37,544 dead enemy Iraqi/insurgents 113,728 dead Iraqi civilians The numbers of physically and psychologically injured persons is many magnitudes greater than just the dead. Final tally for the Afghanistan War: 73,295 dead Allied Afgan/US/Coalition troops 55,400 dead insurgents 46,319 dead civilians So the US killed over 353,000 people and brought suffering to millions!

And there are still have people believing these agencies are the "good guys". It's a Kantian morality. The state is a cornerstone of citizen's life, so it's hard for people to see its flaws. During the Iraq war, I thought that the Democrats were the ones criticizing the neo-cons and this extremely pernicious functioning of state's agencies. So, I was wrong... cause the Democrats turned out to be the biggest proponents of these agencies and their abuses. Reminder: Both parties (Uniparty) for the past 70 years have abused the state agencies.

November 4, 20222 yr Mass lay-offs going on at Twitter. Apparently handled so shoddily that Elon already is facing a class action lawsuit over it.
November 4, 20222 yr Westworld got canceled @Matt! HBO Cancels "Westworld" After Four Seasons - Dark Horizons

I don't know which advisors green-lighted this deal, but it's very very pricey. That's why I think the previous board of directors did a good job. If they hadn't done what they had done, the previous shareholder should have fired their asses. Basically they got offered more money than the company is almost certainly worth, an offer that wasn't very likely ever to be matched let alone exceeded. And then they did not allow Musk to finagle out of the deal. From the prospective of a shareholder, that's what I would want them to do!
November 6, 20222 yr I'm pretty surprised at Dany's first chapter in Storm of Swords. In particular I do not recall her doing this with Jorah in the show: Spoiler romantic tongue kissing, and dany getting sexually aroused by Jorah. Ser Jorah slid his arms around her. "Oh," was all Dany had time to say as he pulled her close and pressed his lips down on hers. He smelled of sweat and salt and leather, and the iron studs on his jerkin dug into her naked breasts as he crushed her hard against him. One hand held her by the shoulder while the other slid down her spine to the small of her back, and her mouth opened for his tongue, though she never told it to. His beard is scratchy, she thought, but his mouth is sweet. The Dothraki wore no beards, only long mustaches, and only Khal Drogo had ever kissed her before. He should not be doing this. I am his queen, not his woman. It was a long kiss, though how long Dany could not have said. When it ended, Ser Jorah let go of her, and she took a quick step backward. "You ... you should not have..."

I've bought a subscription to the gym last week (I found another one that's less expensive) It's good though it's a bit "populated" I've tried machines for the adductors, it's great cause it's more efficient than what I could do at home... but now I have a lot of soreness in the adductors Awesome, how was it? Did it feel like the first day in school? Yeah people are going after cheaper memberships cause…everything’s more expensive these days…. Maybe bring your electrical devices with you next time and save a few bucks on electricity bill. Remember free weights are your true friends.

Remember free weights are your true friends. That's great. I have much more options than what I used to do at home. And I can feel that exercises are different depending on whether you use a cable machine, dumbbells or a barbell. I'm lucky cause usually I don't have the same schedule as peak presence in the gym. PS: yeah, they should definitely plug generators to the machines to help the power grid next winter
November 6, 20222 yr Apparently some of the fired Twitter staff are now getting approached to return. If this is true, you have to wonder how exactly they handled the sackings. You would expect them to at least bother to check they were not allowing people with key knowledge leave. But if they are truly returning already, you have to assume that is what happened. Amazing.
