From the routines I've seen, like Dane Cook (for college boys) she seems to channel the "inner" id which explains her popularity with women.   Very cringe inducing if you're a guy.  I still would like to sit through 1-2 of her specials to learn her "magic".   Amy Shumer, I've watched a couple routines and found her extremely female centric too- but at least she doesn't give me ear cancer.

Whitney is decent as you say but she gives me ear cancer!

Next on my list are classics:  Cosby's "Himself" and the Richard pryor one where he's in red:

Iliza & Amy are very female centric comics as you said. Whitney is more broad with her comedy.

Sarah Silverman is the prettiest (working/top ) comedian

If you think the others have an annoying voice, Sarah is up there with them.

Maria Bamford is probably the most talented female comedian- she was also cute when she was young

She has a somewhat nasally Jew girl voice- it's OK IMHO

DNC/GOP= lip service to ‘Murcia.

As with all political debates, it’s blowing smoke, promising everything and delivering very little.

I have come to hate our national political system.

I was just disenfranchised for most of my voting life.

I am not a die hard anything unless you count being a true independent.

I'm not beholden to one party either as I like some ideas from both sides.

It's funny and weird how the Republicans of today would be Democrats of 25 years ago. I guess politics evolve too. :idk:

Well "The Swamp" is getting drained.

The thing that fascinates me is how many people are willing to give up their rights for some bullshit guise.

We need a Digital Bill of Rights ASAP that has parallel rights as the Bill of Rights.

Beto is an idiot! How he made it this far is insane. :idk:

They truly are a cast of mostly unlikeables with some radical ideas.

What I find very interesting is that, as you said, the Republican Party was flipped.

GOP ideals were in line with what the DNC had going on “back” then.

When I first started casting my vote, I was heavily leaning in to the GOP/Republicans.

Then the two started to flip ideals. It was interesting to watch at the time.

But not now. Everyone in politics are bay crap crazy now!

I truly weep for our species.

Second part of your post, Yes, we do need that.

I also like the idea of net neutrality, but I don’t see that happening at the moment, if ever.

I'm watching Paper Tiger (Bill Burr) right now and so far it's much better written and performed than Chappelle's special.

Basically it is an anti-SJW show

The Republicans have moved more to the center especially in the last 15 years. Democrats have moved to the far left in the last 10 years.

I was more of a Democrat back then.

The flip in the 60s?

I still hold out hope! Politicians need to set the standard for meaningful discussions across the aisle without political theater, agendas, and the labels. Also millennials need to get over themselves would be a step in the right direction too.

It was decent, but not great. I liked the anti SJW message.

Do you know the back story of his show?

In the past 3 years, particularly after getting into psychology and traveling massively- I find myself taking the "not caring" attitude even further and to the logical conclusion.   I look back and realize that at least 20% of me (subconsciously, not consciously) was still clinging onto american patriotism/nationalism/the american dream during the Obama years and hoping for a positive outcome in the future.  I'm come to terms that dreams of a higher culture, state,  and civilization will not come to fruition in the conceivable future.  The American Dream was shallow garbage at heart- nothing but an ideological fairy tale; Carlin got it right.

I think all people who get pissed off about this stuff are inherently idealistic and feel a certain entitlement as to how these things play out; once they "let go", they also let go of their entitlement.  Once one disconnects from their idealism and hopes, reality better aligns itself and what matters and doesn't matter more properly surfaces.
