Why is it such a surprise? I'm not sure if you guys have noticed, but popularity comes and goes. Once upon a time. Isabeli Fontana was the uber model on this forum. You'd put her up in any contest and she'd walk with it, time and time again. She was in everyone's signatures, everyone adored here. You couldn't say a damn thing negative about the woman without people jumping your ass and then some. Over the last few months her popularity has waned a bit, less people are going to her thread [except her uber fans], she's not showing up in sigs anymore, nor is she winning much. Why? She hasn't changed much in the last 4-5 months, and yet people seem burnt out. 6 months ago, no one but "the uber fans" paid any attention the "Supers", and now they are all over the damn place, and people are posting in their threads when just a year ago you were lucky to have three or four posts a week in said thread. Wanna know why are popular again? Because certain people are pushing that back into the spotlight. We are being saturated with all things Cindy, Christy, Claudia (ect), and if said people aren't careful.... the forum will slowly start to pull away again from burn out. Last year at this time, Bar barely had people acknowledged her (other then her uber fans) and now she's everyone's sweet heart, however like all good things, it must come to an end. People are sloooowly starting to become jaded, or bored with her... thus they are backing off. Give it four-five months or a major campaign that thrusts her into our face and everyone will be "Bar Happy" again. Adriana had the same thing 3 years ago.. UBER popular. Slowly over the course of a year of so, people seemed to lose interest. However now that she's pregos she's the "zomg It's adriana " of the forum. Now if you don't believe me, go back and think about some of your favs from yester-year and think about how many people used to like them verses now. Anja - Used to be popular, not so much Natasha - Used to be popular, not so much Megan Fox - Used to NOT be popular, now everyone loves her Karolina - Popularity switches back and forth every 6-8 months Alessandra - Used to be popular, not so much Izabel - Used to be popular, not so much Eugenia - Used to be popular, not so much Valentina - Used to be popular, not so much Candice - Popularity switches back and forth every 6-8 months Petra - Used to be popular, not so much Need I go on.. Yep, I understand, we've done 8 games like this one at another forum, though with actresses, and the 1st four editions were won by 4 different ones. It happened exactly the same you explained about this forum, and we're continually doing campaigns with hundreds of pictures so it may even be more exagerated there. Anyway, Bar's defeat surprised me big time, mainly because I did not know Catherine McNeil 2 weeks ago, but that is the game, if everything was predictable it would be very boring, and it won't be the last surprise, that's for sure, I hope.
