Had an incredibly stressful 6 1/2 week period.  I lost some weight, and got more lean, to the point where my stomach was completely tight.  Stress reduced my appetite a lot.

 

But the stressful phase is over and my appetite returned.  I overate 6 days in a row!  Need to recalibrate my diet from now on.

Still in good shape, never miss a workout.  Would like to lose 5 pounds to hit the ideal.  I am on camera a lot now and have to look as good as possible.

 

However I think I gained 1.5-2 pounds during the holidays  11/12 which isn't noticeable but should go.

Still in good shape but I think i probably gained 4 pounds without noticing.  A slight increase in body fat.  Need to be more careful going forward.

Every time i have creeping weight gain, it occurs in the period of spring-summer when my metabolism slows down due to weather.  In general I eat a bit less in the summer too!

I lost fat in the past 3 weeks as it was extremely hot (circa 100 degrees) and my appetite really dropped.  I have more definition around my mid-section.   I am almost at the optimal weight.    I just have to continue paying more attention to what I'm eating.

A very old trick I've been using is to delay eating anything in the morning until lunchtime whenever I overeat on the day before.  It works.

The idea that if you have eaten hundreds of extra calories (eg. 600-300) the day before you skip breakfast the next day as the body already has excess glucose stored in the body (liver, muscles etc.)

 

So this excess should be enough to skip meal 1 of the day or at least half it.  So by the next day you are back on track again.

I weighed myself for the first time in over 1 year. I am 153.5 pounds (69.6 KG) in the morning, before eating and drinking.

tea has very little caffeine compared to coffee.

 

In my opinion coffee should be minimized and not used to stay skinny.  It can cause anxiety and disturb the sleep.

 

I think the high fiber approach works better (oats, certain large high fiber fruits like watermelon and peaches)

Tea is fine as the caffeine is much lower.

 

I drink coffee in the summer and coffee & tea in the rest of the year.  I am addicted to caffeine but only at a moderate degree.  I consume 300-400 mg of caffeine first thing in the morning and then 'recharge' with 100 mg once or twice for the rest of the day.  So approx. 600-500 mg a day.

 

In the US people drink a lot of strong coffee, an excessive amount.  It is unhealthy.  A lot of people diet by using coffee to control their hunger.  They will drink far more than I do.  Maybe twice or more.

4 weeks later:  157 pounds in similar conditions, so I gained 3 1/2 pounds with only slightly worse habits.

hilarious, I completely forgot about dieting until now (4/13).  I still need to lose about 10 lbs.  At least I didn't gain much, if at all.

Time to get serious with losing weight- skipping breakfast now while following the plan.  (1st meal 12 PM)

So far I lost 3.5 out of 17.5 pounds that I intend on losing- 14 pounds left.

I haven't weighed myself since but the mirror shows that I am about halfway there.  So I guess I'll reach my goal in a few months, before the end of the year.  I think I can keep it up.

I once again forgot about weight loss.  I lost 4.5 pounds and then forgot about it for months.  157-158 lbs now.  My goal is 148-145 lbs.
