Rose not making room for Jack on the raft has long been an issue for debate. I think that he was always going to die because Jack is meant to represent all the young working class men on the ship who were much less likely to survive the tragedy. I think it was felt that Jack's selfless sacrifice for Rose made the film more romantic. As to when we might see any Gatsby or Django material - with December releases, it trailers etc usually appear from August-September onwards. Of course if either film appears at any of the film festivals we may get some footage or feedback that way. In fact, I read a while ago in Variety that there are rumours that Django may well premiere at the Rome Film Festival 2012. This normally happens in October but the organisers are considering a move to November to better fit with studio award season schedules and plans. The line up has not been confirmed yet but the man who runs the Rome Film Festival does have a good relationship with Harvey Weinstein. As to Gatsby material - who knows. Baz does not hurry himself so it could be quite a wait. However, Warner Bros has invested BIG money in Gatsby so they will want it to be very visible and so I expect a real push on promotion to help recoup the costs and with that in mind, I thimk we can guarantee that Leo will be front and centre He is not only the title character, he is their cash cow.
