2010 Satellite Awards Movie Nominations Dominated by 'Inception' and '127 Hours'

International Press Academy has announced the nominees for the 15th Annual Satellite Awards on December 1. Leading the way to win big at the prize-giving event is "Inception" which snatches 11 nominations out of 23 categories, followed by "127 Hours" which takes 9 nods. The moneymaker flick from Christopher Nolan and the emotionally arousing film from Danny Boyle also lead their stars, Leonardo DiCaprio and James Franco, to score a nod for best drama actor. Meanwhile, Nolan and Boyle themselves will face against each other for best director prize.

I hope.Inception win :)

Bar could have very well be there because we all know leo and Bar try very hard not to be photographed together. I bet Bar was there too. :heart: They are always doing that i remember the airport pics from Vancouver and leo was photographed by himself but it was reported how Bar was there as well and she went through a seperate entrance so they won't get photographed together! They are quite crafty, so cute.

Leonardo DiCaprio coverting to Judaism for marriage?

Reports today are claiming that Leonardo DiCaprio is considering converting to Judaism in order to wed Israeli girlfriend Bar Refaeli.

It is believed Leonardo, born Catholic, has been looking into the process of conversion amid rumours that the on-off couple are now considering marriage. "Leo's sudden intense interest in Israel, its culture and religion is the clearest sign yet that he intends to marry Bar," a source said. "Now he is looking into converting for her."

Actor Leonardo and model Bar have been dating since 2005.

I think it would be soooooo cute if they got married :hug:

Reese Witherspoon Admits to Finding Robert Pattinson ‘Extraordinarily Attractive

The Oscar-winning actress compares Pattinson’s popularity to that of Leonardo DiCaprio when he starred in ‘Titanic’ in the late ‘90s

“Robert is such a great guy from a great family. That’s the thing that’s so funny. He’s not really this bad boy; he’s just a great guy and really worked hard on Water for Elephants. He looks totally different in the movie.”

I agree. These rumor come out all the time! each month there is a new story about how he is converting, and how they are engaged, when none of it has came true! Although i do get a feeling a little leo or bar should be coming soon :heart::whistle:

Now it's Inception's turn for a screening and Q&A time afterwards which is happening tonight. Leo went to a Shutter Island one last weekend as well!

I'm glad leo is going out there and promoting his film some more. But I have a feeling the acedemy will forget him like they did in 2008 with Revolutionary road. The Academy doesn't realize Leo is the best actor of the generation. Better than Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, Leos got real talent.

But the Oscars never see it :banghead::huh:

^That's true but I think the academy knows he's talented and he's been nominated more times than many of the others in his generation. It's just unfortunately not everyone can win. Tom cruise and Brad pitt have not won oscars either, neither has Johnny Depp. I think Leo has even been nominated more times than them. ChristianBale is what many consider a good actor as well and he has never been nominated(probably will this year)

so it just depends on the circumstances etc etc. Seeing as Leo is a big movie star he is in an amazing position where he is still respected and atleast considered for awards... There are thousands of actors and Leo is among the top that is respected.

I also think maybe (I hope not) academy snobs him again! fashiondream: I see your point of view and I understand, he really got a lot of nominations and this is really amazing, but I think he should have win already, it's time for them, not just recognize him as the great actor he is, it's time for them give him the award already! And if he wouldn't be at that 5 leading actor, I will be angry for indetermined time! :angry: :anger: :avada: :knives: :persuazn: :banghead:
