September 22, 200618 yr Who would you guys rather have on your team Alonso or Pirlo? Alonso. Allthough, Pirlo did have a great WC, but during most CL games, he doesn't impress me at much.
September 22, 200618 yr That's not bad Who is in first? V. Manisaspor is in first place! Second is Fenerbahce, Gala third. We have a very tough game tomorrow against Trabzonspor and it's away too. I don't know though, would it be wise to play our full strength team out in this one, or save some players for Wednesday?
September 22, 200618 yr so as not to get completely destroyed by Liverpool! It'll probably be a draw. We have another match against Spurs next before we take you on. That's like a match every 3-4 days A draw would be superb for Gala - and I think it's possible if our defence is on top form. But, that's a very rare occurence! Last time we played at Anfield it was 0-0 right? Could be the same story again - I really can't see any of our forwards actually scoring.
September 22, 200618 yr Chelsea-Barca is on 18th of October.Barca-Chelsea is on 31th of October. Both gonna be crackers!

If we can learn to be clinical we can demolish teams. And our defence still isn't really strong. I'd be tempted to go the other way and say that it was very weak. I watched the Newcastle game and although we dominated for the first half, we did nothing to deserve such a flattering scoreline. See you on Wednesday
September 22, 200618 yr You need a poacher in the box. All your strikers, with the exception of Robbie, roam too much off into the midfield.
September 22, 200618 yr You need a poacher in the box. All your strikers, with the exception of Robbie, roam too much off into the midfield. It's the way Rafa likes it Bellamy switches between the wings as the ball, or Kuijt drops back to play link-up or Crouch comes back to be the target man. Even Fowler has been dragged down the field to become second striker Bellamy has no problem with dropping deeper, but the others don't have the pace to be effective when they drop deep and move into the box.
September 22, 200618 yr Dirk can do that for you. He used to play off Kalou, and he was the guy that would finish it off in the box.

I agrree SS You need to have someone that can finish when it is such a close game I believe that will do in Liverpool this year
September 23, 200618 yr Dirk can do that for you. He used to play off Kalou, and he was the guy that would finish it off in the box.He could, which is a good thing, but his finishing is not the best, hence why I value him as a SS. He's being paired with Bells as well, which means he sits back while Bells makes the forward runs. If he was teamed with Crouch then I guess we can make him more of a striker. We should give him the chance to play as striker though. Sometimes he's too far out to be effective.
September 23, 200618 yr Is Cara still out injured? Not at all. There's just no understanding between the centre backs and the keeper. Agger and Carra don't communicate well and it's rubbing off on Reina as well.
September 23, 200618 yr Just goes to prove that top footie players are the luckiest sob's on the face of the earth.
