October 22, 200816 yr I saw the list and I am happy for Lakshmi, but I have to say its such a messed up list. Arlenis deserves to be there even more so than Lakshmi. Also what about Aline Weber and even Anna S(granted she did a few shows last season, but she did the most now, same as Lakshmi)?? I only recognized Liu and Sessilee besides Lakshmi. I dont even know who the others are, Aminata who??? Aline was there last season, on f-w 2008 new girls list. Agree about Anna S. I remember Aminata from RL show. And Arlenis, I guess she had not walked in too many prestigeous Paris shows to appear on this list.
