May 22, 201113 yr The Walk In Style 2011 Award Nominees Emma Sjöberg Wiklund - Sweden Emma became famous as a supermodel and actress. She has since been active in the fashion world and more recently as a board member for Swedish fashion retailer Lindex. She is also a budding entrepreneur and has just founded her own cosmetics brand. The reasons for Emma’s nomination: Emma Wiklund has shown an inspiring ability and willingness to constantly evolve. Her ambition is an inspiration to other women, encouraging them to believe in themselves and to follow their dreams. As a role model, Emma has used her fame to increase awareness of breast cancer and other causes close to her heart. Emma engages herself 100% with the projects she works on. Instead of lending out her name to another company, she has chosen to create her own cosmetic brand in order to have complete control over the project. Emma is equally ambitious when it comes to supporting charity. During her career as a model, she lost many friends to AIDS and has supported the fight against the disease. She has also been involved in the fight against breast cancer, most notably with the Pink Ribbon campaign. Since 2008, Emma has been one of the ambassadors for the Swedish Cancer Society. Finally, Emma has been involved with both anti-racism and anti-violence campaigns. http://www.ecco.com/dk/da/specialer/walkinstyle_nominees.jsp
