April 1, 201015 yr Now that there's no football, i feel Obligated to spending time with the Family on Sundays.I hate no football.BUT it is almost draft day, or days now. And we can be entertained with weeks of MOCK drafts and Mel Kiper and his dracula hairstyle.
April 5, 201015 yr I'm like the only person I know who's sad about this. Everyone loves Kolb. Until he does something I'm not convinced. but it looks like Redskins are trying to pull an Elway type deal. Shanahan getting an "old" quarterback and having the best years of his career. I kinda want McNabb to get his championship, but then again......he's a Skin, fuck him. go Vick
July 31, 201014 yr I'm SO ready for football season. There's absolutely nothing to watch other than boring baseball which is on EVERY DAY. :| in other news, T.O. and Ochocinco are the new duo and Albert Haynesworth is still being a fatass.
August 1, 201014 yr Soon there is gonna be an 18 game season. Guys can barely get through a 16 game season with injuries so this is gonna be a disaster but hey, the rich owners found a way to make some $$$$$$ so that's all that matters in the National Felon's League. :avada:
August 1, 201014 yr I can't wait for the season to start so I can find out whether, at this rate, 90% of the Ravens' starting defense will have season-ending injuries by the 1st game or just 80%. <_<
August 1, 201014 yr I'm cool with the 18 games. They're getting rid of 2 meaningless preseason games.
August 1, 201014 yr Yeah but the fans will go crazy when a starter doesn't play and with 18 games, starters will have to have less playing time if they want to make a serious playoff run. The injury rate in the National Felon's League is WAY too high as it is (like the gentleman above pointed out the Ravens defense) so with 18 games you can expect to see more injured players come playoff time. Having an 18 game regular season sounds like an idea Vince McMahon would have come up with for the XFL.
August 1, 201014 yr I'm cool with the 18 games. They're getting rid of 2 meaningless preseason games. I'm sure if you were a late-round pick trying to make the team, you wouldn't be calling those games meaningless.
August 2, 201014 yr I'm not and never will be, as most people are/won't. We want more football, they want more money. They'll give them an extra bye week. Ok, there will be a few more injuries. This was inevitable though. 14, to 16, to 18. I'm sure when I'm old and gray there will be over 20 by then.
August 2, 201014 yr This was inevitable though. 14, to 16, to 18. I'm sure when I'm old and gray there will be over 20 by then. This I agree with that it is inevitable however not all change is good. 18 games and more playoff games will produce not only more injuries but a watered down product, teams making the playoffs that shouldn't be in, shorter careers and a lot more loser backups getting playing time. If the fans were upset because the Colts pulled their players vs. the Jets then they will be in an absolute rage toward the end of the regular season because coaches will be sitting A LOT more starters and being very cautious toward the end of the season. The problem is with this idea of more games is that players are bigger and faster than ever before resulting in more injuries. To counter this the slimy owners will increase the regular season thus putting more strain on their players health? Short sighted greed. The players will be burnt out and football is gonna suck. Great players that would play say 13 or 15 years will play 10 if that. I'd rather see future stars such as Mark Sanchez or Matt Ryan play 15 years of a 16 game season than 10 years of an 18 game. My opinion. Anyone care to debate my points?
August 2, 201014 yr I don't think an extra 2 games will cut a player's career by a third. I don't know how they're going to run the playoffs. Will there be an added round?
August 5, 201014 yr Anyone want to bet on whether Favre stays retired this time? I'd rather put money on my rams to win to superbowl then Favre retiring or not retiring.
August 6, 201014 yr ^ Even if that happened I'm sure he would still waffle over whether he's retiring or not.
