She looked great in the Orville. Her role was to be a memory/fantasy from the past and she played nostalgia really well. I like her voice (I don't think I heard it before).

I thought it was a parody, but it turns out to be one of the best Sci-fi show I've seen in years. The writing is great (and that's what missing to Kurtzman's Trek shows). Season 2 is indeed even better than season 1, just like you said. I just watched episode 11. Pretty good and even if there's close to zero SFX in it, I liked it. Leighton Meester is good as the nostalgic memory/fantasy from the past (I've always found her cute. I didn't know she sang and it turns out she has a nice voice).

Especially, Alex Kurtzman's writers. This guy has the greates crew: some of the best actors, soundtrack, and costume designers.... and yet, his writers are so terrible that it destroys all the magic (and they keep demeaning Picard, it's really painful to watch).

Yep. Do you like this show? I think season 1 was the best, but the other seasons are still pretty decent.
The fact that the audience loves it is an indicator of the greatness of this show. The fact that the critics from the mainstream media hate it is an indicator of the awesomeness of this show. Of course, the critics have seen the light for Season 2... It's easy to make a 180-degree turn when you have no backbone (also, let's casually slip the fact that Mickey bought Fox in 2019 ). Oh, the wonderful access media...
